Thoughts:
-Seems to add about 100g of weight for its 3400mAh.
-wireless charging (both for the phone and the case) so nothing to hook into. As a result installing/removing the case is simple and friction-less.
-due to the curves on the phone and the thin case sidewalls it feels noticeably thicker but not bulkier. It basically feels like a glasses case. Still getting used to it and finding it strange but not off putting.
-weight balance is good.
-soft material that does not scratch using your nails
-collects hand oils.

Other cases for comparison

I'm liking that battery pack a lot. Its an excellent use of wireless charging ( and I say that as someone whos not particularly a fan of wireless charging).

I am really not digging the Edge in a case. Guess ill be waiting for the Note reveal, or getting a normal S7 if I can't control myself.

The wireless charging inside the case is really cool though.

Doesn't matter what case you have when this happens :(

I was getting out of the car and had it in the front kangaroo pocket. It slipped out and fell about 2ft onto concrete.

that sucks so bad :(

also from the looks of it, it made direct contact with the screen rather than hitting the phone case.

There doesn't seem to be a good way to protect the screen with a case on the edge. Main thing stopping me from getting one as I occasionally drop mine.

Yea I drop mine from time to time as well.
I stopped putting it in my front shirt pocket because it usually falls when I'm bending over to tie my shoes or picking up something.
Some adjustments had to be made but so far so good.

Quick S7 Edge question:

Just got my wife and I new S7 Edge phones at T-Mobile.

Q) Is this phone ready for wireless charging?
Q) On ebay they have fast wireless chargers for about $5 each. Do these work fast?
Q) Any harm in always using the fast charger for this phone all the time? Isn't slow charging better for the battery?
Q) Any harm in using the fast charger for a S5 phone?

S7 supports both wireless charging formats. Ebay wireless fast chargers at 5 bucks is a scam. You need a true fast charging brick and then a fast wireless charge stand, will end up around 40-50 bucks iirc. Fast charging can heat up the device. I use fast charging in the car but regular wireless at home.

Do not buy knockoff quick charge stuff from ebay. Go for Qualcomm certified stuff from a reputable seller.

A 2.0A wireless charger (the 3-coil type) charges my phone from 5% to full in about 4 hours. It'd take 1 hour and 40 minutes on a QC2.0 capable charger.

There should not be any harm since it fast charges up to 80% then it dials back down to normal charging. But generally slow charging will put less stress on your battery and will give you a much better lifespan on the internal battery.

No harm, it will just charge at the highest rate it can charge (2.0A) just like any other 2.0A rated charger.

IMO get a regular 3-coil 2.0A wireless charger (about $15), a QC2.0 car charger (about $7), and a QC2.0 portable battery (about $15-$20) and you're good to go. I bought an Aukey 10,400mAh QC2.0 portable and it can charge my S7 edge about 3x. $15 on Amazon, it's the silver aluminum one that had a $5 off discount.

Wasn't there an "indestructible" phone from Motorola last year? I forgot what it was. How did Motorola make it happen?

A bunch of layers including a redundant touch layer. The problem is all the layer affected screen quality.

have the s7 edge in a s-view case (flap to cover the screen although not magnetic which is a neg IMO), the battery case doesn't have a flap does it?

until one comes out (or if), i've just gone for a portable wireless charger. connected to the mains it works as a normal wireless charger but very useful to have it and my S7 in my pocket and just leave it to charge if needs be.

p.s, if the phone is in the battery case, can you just put it on a wireless charger and charge both at the same time? i ask as with my old sony xperia z ultra, it had a charging case (not wireless) and when connecting the USB cable to the case, some would let you start charging the phone at the same time but others apparently wouldn't
