Just started using a Samsung VR and the apps size have my S7's internal memory pleading for mercy...

Probably "old news" and appears to be easy enough but it seems almost too good to be true and wondering if there's a catch if for instance I need to remove and replace the sim card, etc...

Perhaps the downside is that the critical parts of the phone's OS may now reside on a relatively unreliable 200 GB micro SD card.

Am I being too cautious? The thought of having 232 GB of what appears to be internal memory is very appealing. Please advise. Thanks.

The only problem I had with doing that was it screwed up taking burst photos with the camera. Apart from that I don't recall any other problems.
Unfortunately the camera problems were a deal breaker for me so I went back to stock.

I use a Samsung Pro+ 128GB U3 card in Adoptable mode on my S7 Edge without any real issues other than the built in storage app can't figure out the combined size at all. I have heard that Android OS updates might wreck it but 7.0 hasn't arrived for me yet so can't say if it will or won't break it.
