S3 Trio Videocard died...replacement?

I have a pentium 150mhz that does a few things at my house. I am pretty sure the video card died. It is a S3 Trio (PCI) or something along those lines, this was the original card that came with the computer.

What would be a good replacement for it? The computer runs win98 and is just used by the odd man out for AIM, word processing, and cruising the net. What would be a good replacement card for $30 or less. 3d performance means nothing, and am looking for good 2d. Anything out there in that pricerange?

Thanks

Anything.....

Seriously, I also recommend Maxtor..get an MGA200...CHEAP as anything, but great for 2d...I have one on the MOBO for my server, and I find it to be great...although I will be Terminal servicing into it mostly since it will be in the basement...

Take a look over in the buy sell trade forum and do a search for PCI cards most anything will do for a system like that and the cost should not be over $20 shipped... ;)

Just go with the cheapest thing you can find... Matrox and ATI both have outstanding 2D, but in all seriousness, ANY card will have better 2D than that old Trio. You can pick up an elderly ATI or Matrox PCI card for under $20 no problem. If you have an AGP slot, it will make things alot easier though. You can get this card: ATI XPERT 98 8MB AGP for $19 at www.newegg.com, which would be almost overkill for that old system, haha.
