Looking at gaminphreek's thread about Q-fan reminded me that s2kctl is a complete mystery to me- and even the website i d/l it from said that it was a 'bus master disconnect program' with the implied air that i should find that a perfectly adequate explanation
It also makes my ASUS probe go screwy- trying to tell me my stock HSF 2000+ o/c to 2600+ is cooler than the mobo sometimes- but even according to sandra it's doing an impressive job cooling- even when i am using a couple IE windows, couple word docs, winamp/or wmp10, and the usual background crap (no adware-scan regularly, but ASUS probe, daemon toolz, google desktop, pccillin, gay0r quicktime etc)- when does it start this 'bus disconnect' business- and does it impact up my comp's performance in ne negative way? (i dont notice a difference ne way)
Some feedback would be much appreciated
Edit: this could either be a mobo or CPU question i guess- so i came here
