S-video vs DVI for an HDTV

I'm currently using an s-video cord to connect my computer to my HDTV. My video card also has DVI, and so does my TV. Should I go buy a DVI cord or is their very little difference between a DVI and S-video on TV?

DVI will be vastly superior Image Quality over s-video IF your TV will support input from your PC. Try to borrow a DVI cable if you can. sometimes you'll need a DVI-D cable rather than the more common DVI-I for it to work, but its a crap shoot as most manufacturers will tell you that their units wont accept PC input (although apparently most will) You'll need a utility like powerstrrip to configure your output resolution and timings. Go to AVS forums for the real story.

Good Luck!
