s-video to vga?

Ok, i bought a Visiontek GeForce 2 400. Visiontek claims that it supports dula displays VIA the VGA connector and the S-Video connector. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a S-Video to VGA adaptor?

Thanks.

that sems to make sense, but the website and product box describe it as having the capability of dual display. They even describe it as being useful for graphic artists who want to have palettes on one disply, while working on the other. here is a link to the web site

So, if they mean that the 2nd display is on a TV, they are being very deceptive. I will shoot an e-mail to thier tech support to see what they have to say. But in the mean-time, if anyone knows anyting, let me know. Thanks!

That's really dual output/ dual display/ twinview (called by Nvidia), they didn't cheat you.
The product info/spec clearly shows it's one vga + one tv-out, no cheat or scam here.
If you want dual vga, look for the mx400 with dual vga + tv-out like this one:
WinFast GeForce2 MX DH Pro

I understand the it has one S-video and one VGA, that is fine. But the way it is worded it sounds like I should be able to hook up 2 monitors. I figured I would need to purchase an adaptor.

ok, so if i didnt get cheated, can both dislays at least be used at the same time. If i were to use the S-Video to hook up a TV? Maybe I just read it wrong, but it does really seem like they are saying it can be used as a dual display. Fortunatly, I did not buy the card for this reason, I just thought it would be a nice feature to have available.

yes, twinview provides
Windows® XP Dualview and Windows 98 multimonitor support, which spreads the desktop across both displays. This mode allows you to stretch your desktop horizontally or stack it vertically?an optimal solution for financial trackers.
Application exclusive, in which an application may be dedicated to one or both monitors. This mode is excellent for entertainment applications.
Clone mode, in which monitors show the same output. This mode is useful for presentations. A presenter may use the smaller monitor on the podium, while a projector conveys the data to the audience.
Application zone mode, in which a zoomed-in section of the primary display's image is shown on a secondary display. This mode is perfect for image editing and modeling in CAD applications.
Virtual desktop, which supports full pan-and-scan mode, can be configured for one or both displays.
