S Video Problems

I just installed a nvidia 9550 card and have the latest drivers. Fiest i Hook it up to DVI work
great, but no picture on my 50" lcd tv. Check the set up no clone or dual view was there. I change to VGA sub d and clone and dual view show up.In dual view no icon show up on the scren. In clone mode I get a picture but it's in blaackand white and
grainy. I have change the resolution and went from 60 to 75 Hz nothing. My monitor is a dell 2005 FP wide.Also I have check conection. Any help would be appreated Thanks

If you're using S-Video and the image is black-and-white, you either have a bad cable, or the video card is set to output over composite rather than S-Video (should be an option for it in Catalyst Control Center).

Obviously, S-video will look like crap on a 50" LCD-TV, but that's to be expected. 😛 Use component or DVI/HDMI and set it for the panel's native resolution if you want it to look good. If you need details on how to do this for your TV, check out AVSForum and see if they have a thread for your particular model.
