s-video out on a laptop

Hi

I'm planning on buying a laptop in the USA and take it back to Europe. Does anyone know if I will be able to use the s-video out feature of the laptop with an European TV set (remember PAL system, 50hz instead of 60)??

Not sure about nVidia cards, but the Radeon 7500 in my laptop lets me choose between NTSC or PAL.

... and so do the popular chipset-integrated-VGA chipsets from VIA/S3 and those from SiS. So in general, I'd say check whether the machine has a "TV mode PAL/NTSC" switch somewhere in Display Properties (Advanced section).
