s-video or composite video for DVD player?

sony makes two 20" Wega TV's. One of them is $299 with NO s-video input, and the other is $349 with one s-video input.

what i'm curious to know is, should I really spend the extra 50 bucks for the S-video input? is the difference between composite and s-video worth 50 bucks?

S-video will give you better PQ. Composit-> s-video-> component. In that order.

Yes, it is worth the extra $50 if you care about picture quality at all.

I beleive Component Video is better quality than s-video, and s-video is better than composite. First off do you have a dvd player or vcr that has s-video out? if so i would say go for it. (even better if you have componet video out.) on dvds i believe you would see a difference. another reason for the price diff is that the $349 TV has

Dynamic Picture? Processor Circuitry, New WOW with BBE audio system, DAC speaker system

while the cheaper does not have these features.

if you do not have a home theater system to conect to this i would say the BBE sound and speakers would be a nice improvement.

The jump from composite to s-video is night and day, especially on a TV like a Wega.
