Many thanks in advance to a computer illerterate when it comes to add-ons. Rigs was gracious enough to tell me about the Leadtek TV 2000XP for my son's PC so he won't have to take a TV back to college - he says that with an s video adapter - Jon wll also be able to plug in his PS2 - can these be purchased at NewEgg, Essential, Beat Buy - I did a search and am coming up empty -

Thanks!!

Do you want to go SVideo into the LeadTek from the PS2? Why not just use the COAX adaptor? Please clarify.

This is Rigs response: Without a doubt, the Leadtek XP 2000 deluxe. It can record, it has picture in picture, remote, coaxial input (for cable), FM and TV tuner. It has an S-video input so you can use a PS2 with an s-video adapter (much better quality than the "red, yellow, white" composite inputs).

What I need to know now is where to get this s-video adapter - I couldn't find one at B&M Circuit City

THanks!

the leadtek 2000XP that I got from newegg has a cable where you can plug in an s-video or a composite signal into the TV card. You don't need to buy a seperate adaptor. Is that what you want to know? However, I did find that switching from tuner to S-video requires remapping the audio stuff- not a big deal, but not as nice as a TV where it happens automatically (does someone have a more elegant solution?).

I think that this is what you want. It is an adaptor that plugs directly into the PS2 and gives Svideo and composite outputs, priced at $9.99.

Just plug one end into the PlayStation2 and the other into the TV Tuner card.
