Those people complaining about weapon accuracy must be trying to play at high difficulty levels. In this game a high difficulty means exactly that, unlike the console kiddie FPSes.

Try the two lowest difficulty levels and the weapons will become much easier to use. I play on Stalker difficulty and I have absolutely no trouble hitting or aiming.

Also things open up a lot more when you get access to scoped Assault Rifles. In the next two games you can upgrade them for even better ballistics.

Liked the storyline and the graphics.

I found the gun accuracy way off, compared to 1.6, or Doom, or Far Cry, or Crysis, or any source game. IMO, if you compare it to an mature source engine: L4D2?
Frustrating.

I too am looking forward to a Mod, and a higher res on my next round.

Two great things about Stalker games:

1) No ridiculous "battle chicks" that many games these days gratuitously force into games.

2) No excessive talking. Characters say very little. There are no endless chitchat sessions (Mass Effect) or "cute" characters that never shut up (Claptrap in Borderlands)

Stalker games = Dude World
