S.T.A.L.K.E.R. help...

Hey guys!

So I started playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SOC again with the L.U.R.K. mod. It's pretty easy enough. Anyways, I was messing around with the actor.ltx and creature.ltx files in order to modify the weight limit. I don't know about you but that was the most annoying part of the game. So many things you gather and just don't want to let go of.

Now, I have a lot of stuff in there BUT everytime I go into the inventory menu, some items I can select and other I can't which are mostly at the bottom of the inventory menu. I looked around online but nothing helped. Has anyone have had this happened before? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

If you use a cheat or something for inventory, I think it does that as its not normally allowed. I had it happen when I used a trainer to allow me to carry more inventory. Just gotta deal with it.

There are patches for LURK (1.04 is current I think) in the optional mods folder that comes in the zip file that have modded weight limits. I use the 80 lb mod

In my experience, the best treatment for STALKER issues is the uninstall button. This game is buggy as shit, and not even that fun anyway.

Hmm, I wouldn't manually mess with those files. I've never had trouble with stalker until I mess with something myself. Apart from the horsepower it requires I never had it crap out on me. If you find a way to restore your files to normal, just use a pre-made mod for weight/inventory.

What irked me most about the Weight Limit was just coming to a complete halt because of it. That said, living within the limit is really not hard.

Try rolling back to the initial files to see if that helps. Then try modding again more carefully.

Another way around the weight limit is just to stuff everything in a corpse and haul dat around. You move at reduced speed but at least you'll always be able to move. Funny mental image though of some poor dead schmuck being dragged with a whole arsenal stuck inside him.

That made me lol...but yeah im pretty much dealing with it. What I do is try to sell all the crap I dont need as soon as I can. In spite the bugs, its a fantastic game.
