S&P to add Google to S&P 500 Index on March 31

Whole market should do nicely on Friday.

I own a small piece in my retirement account, Vanguards VEXMX. After it joins the S&P, VEXMX will liquidate the entire amount and lock in gains as they dont hold any stocks in the 500 index. Its basically the Wilshire 5000 - S&P 500 = Wilshire 4500 completion index., which invests primarily in mid cap stocks. Im up 12.36% since October 24th!

As predicted markets continue to rally! Now Ill just wait to "sell in May and take a holiday" then buyback after the usual summer selloff and October crash.

Looks like goog is going to finish up about 7% today and the market as a whole about .50%. Not bad.

However if your Larry Page, you can dump FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS worth of GOOG and not even bat an eye.

This is the only way you could get me to buy GOOG (via my VFINX shares) since their health is almost entirely dependent on businesses continuing to pay high prices for keyword ads.

I'll agree with that. If the google bubble pops, what's that going to do to the S&P? They are talking about having to buy 20million shares
