I have been around for some time, just now joined the team. I have
done seti@home since last December as an independent.

Sukhoi jostled my elbow last week in another post, so here I am.

Am running v2.0 on 2 machines.

1. 500 athlon, sd-11, @100mhz
2. 750 athlon, abit-ka7, @110mhz (825)

On the team I show up as Deep Dish, I must have been hungry when
I registered originally. :)

Thanks for the welcome!

johnk:)

Ah, see, it's all me. ;)

DeepDish, you might want to consider trying the 2.04 GUI. I've heard that 2.04 doesn't write to the hard drive as much, so it can possibly speed up your work unit times a few percent, especially if you have a slow hard drive.

Well thx for the wellcome and all... actually I've been a member for sometime but to reflect my online personality I changed the nick in S@H to reflect the name I use in these forums... :) Sorry about that... anyway if people really are interested in what I run at here goes:

PIII 600E@800 (gotta love that 133 FSB:D)
With a timeshare schedule devised by me to keep a steady stream of wus for S@H and a nice little package as well for the RC5/OGR effort ... Kinda stupid to get hooked on both but hey when you're hooked you're hooked right? :Q

Well keep those 'puters safely cracking and see y'all around

Sukhoi,
Thanks for the welcome :)My machines are on the cmdline version, I
run the client minimized in the tray, so as you can see, my addiction
to s@h is already in an advanced state :)

I tried v2.4 cmdline but it seemed to run about 20 mins slower, but
I did not run 10+ units to get a really good avg, more like 4 or 5.

Right now my machine says it would like to try the non-intel version.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!! (it's a much different feel here compared to the "Hot Deals" or "FS/FT" forums) =)

I actually started running S@H 2 years ago, but I forgot the email address I registered with.. oh well.. so i just started up again, and wanted to help out TeamAnandtech!!

Running on a PII 650E @ 848MHz. I plan on getting more computers up and running. But thanks again!!! go TEAM!!!!

Chintan,

If you have not wiped out your old directory, in which your earlier
work resided and have the userinfo file, your e-mail address is in there. Just open it with notepad and read it. (you will have to tell
notepad to treat a .sah file as a text file)

thanks for the info john.

unfortunately, i deleted that directory a couple months ago. i thought the stats would remain on seti, (which i'm pretty sure they are still there), but i still have no idea what the email address was. oh well.. can't do much about it now. no need to worry...

we are all still gonna kick some butt with the WU's!!!

let's just say you don't want to know how many i lost... it's all good though. it was a computer at work, and so i don't know what they did with the data and stuff... not in the recycle bin 'cause it was a government computer (NASA)... maybe the IT department found the files and said, "Oh, he was helping SETI... well, then we'll just keep this for him"...

then again... maybe not.

=) go TEAM!!!
