E^5 were on top in the daily production again today, making it a total of 4 out of 5, but DeNutsRDoinItInStyle were the closest to them today, only 5 WUs behind, due to a massive dump of 142 by IsOs :Q
The Captains of Crunch get a nice dump from TeAm Smokeball of 135, for a daily total of 352, but it's only good enough for 3rd place.
TeAm Firestorm are the last team today to go over 300 WUs for the day, and are only 53 away from E^5 in the day's standings.
Team Aiming For Alien Ass drop under 300 WUs again, but produce 12 WUs more than yesterday for 269 today.
The Seti Bandits, after exhausting themselves yesterday with the record breaking day, today can only manage 171 WUs, less than half that of E^5. Guys, it's best to speed up gently when going for the lead, because otherwise you run the risk of gaining a little, then dropping back even further because you've exhausted yourselves!

There is a postion change near the top today, the Captains of Crunch regained second place today, after Firestorm taking it away from them yesterday. The Captains of Crunch didn't seem too happy yesterday with that. But they are only 9 WUs ahead, so don't get too big headed.
The Seti Bandits, after their huge day yesterday moving them into 4th place, drop back to the bottom again today, overtaken by DeNutsRDoinItInStyle and Aiming for Alien Ass.
E^5 is still on the top, and increased their lead over the 2nd place team by 44, to 291.

All teams are now over the 1000 WU marker, and E^5 look set to pass the 2000 marker tomorrow if all goes well.

Will we see any effects of any cloggage that might have happened at OK this week in the stats tomorrow as it all clears? We won't know until tomorrow.

CoC, we need to pick it up and catch E^5! Someone must have a secret weapon lying around somewhere... I used to have them all over the place, but I cleaned the house a couple weeks ago and I think I must have accidentally thrown them all out...

What the heck is going on with Team EEEtEtE! Who assimilated what or built what? Well, I guess we can look at the pre-race averages and figure out whom but I'd like to get a report. :Q

TeAm Smokeball is slowly coming back. Just got my burned up MB and Video Card replaced so the 1800+ XP is back in operation. I had another pretty bad catastrophe hit me the night before last. My main PC, which is running the team SetiQueue, died...another motherboard it seems. So I had to cannibalize my other PIII 1GHz Supermicro SSA370 and do some fancy hard drive manipulation to save not only the Q but also all of my stock market and personal data. Unbelievably, when I attempted to retrieve the ?important? stuff from my 1900+ XP LAN computer ? I found the Windows2000 OS was corrupted. Two computers went out simultaneously on the same LAN. I?m starting to wonder if I might possibly have been hacked? Or was it just plain coincidental bad luck? /me looks around with squinted eyes/

So, TS is still down a PIII 1 GHz and a P4 1.6GHz. The P4 1.6GHz may be replaced today with a P4 1.7 GHz. A couple of my teammates remote fast rigs have mysteriously disappeared from the radar screen?email inquiries have been sent. Summary: TeAm Smokeball running at 90%.

I've thought about that but my systems are guarded by UPSs and the incident I had at my house was almost 7 - 10 days later. There are four other computers on my LAN that had no problems whatsoever. So it is still a mystery to me.

Side note: My OC 1900+ XP had been running around 51C in a cheapo case. In another cheapo case my daughter's OC 1800+ XP was also running around 49C - 51. I decided to use one of the Antec SX-830 cases I've been holding in reserve for her new replacement Epox EKHA motherboard and Matrox 450 Video Card. When I finally got that running properly I noticed the temperature was now 44C - 45C which was approximately a 5C - 6C improvement. Duh, me hits myself in the head several times...............cooling, cooling, cooling.

With that as an incentive, I looked at the gutted and unused Supermicro SC-750A case laying on the floor (referring to the cannibalized PC mentioned in my previous post) and decided to take my Epox 8K7A w/1900+ XP out of its cheapo case and move it into the SC-750A. Now my previously shakey OC 1900+ XP is running at 44C, a 7C improvement and seems to be solid as a rock.

Morale: I could get by running slower CPUs in cheapo cases but these new hot XPs need better ventilation and cooling. /me slaps self up side of head again/

Well, my stats are about three or four higher than my pre-race average because a nice little suprise came through the door in the form of a customer's PIII 1GHz Dell PowerEdge that's being "broken in" and benchmarked for a little while. I'll be loosing that one and a PIII 733 in a little while, but I will be building a nice little PII 400 duallie from spare parts as soon as my MB arrives to pick up some of the slack.

I upgraded a few of my servers to 1600+'s so my WU average went from 4.5 to about 12-13. ( I claimed 6.5 WU average just in case )Haven't pegged it down just yet
