Just curious. I think there will be 75 of them running, and since they are HT would probably have 2 instances running at a time with the service install.

Thanks

I would guess about 6 or 7 per day with out HT. With HT it might be as high as 10 or so.

Are you suggesting you will have 75 such computers avaliable? Wow, that will be noticable.

My two dell 2.4GHz non HT 533 P4's average 2:51 and 2:59 (gaming rig :p) per WU, so that would be 8 per day. :)

75...did you say 75?!?! :Q

Depening on hours and work load, that could be 75 x 8 per day...600 per day! :Q

My p4 2.4b out of the box with PC 2100 was doing 9 to 10 a day.
But is not a Gateway. So I would have to say...depends on the FSB of the MB and the Ram used. Is it a 2.4b or a 2.4c and is it a 533 ,667 or 800 mhz board?

Yeah 73 or 75.

800mhz FSB
PC2700 ram 333mhz i think

I was thinking they would do about 8 a day (they will only be running 16hrs a day, so if they average one WU every 2hrs (with hyperthreading) that would put them at 8 a day)

so 8 x 75 = 600 RPD, not too shabby.

My P4-2.6 Compaq PC here at work has been averaging 7.5 WUs/day, but that's with me using it 7 to 8 hours of each day too. ;)

My P4-1.6@2.2 does a little over 7 WUs/day too - dedicated machine - nothing else running. :D

Sounds awesome if you can do it!

Are you the one in charge of what goes on PCs? If not...BE SURE YOU GET APPROVAL FROM YOUR BOSS!!

Yeah everything is good to go in that sense. I usually help set up the image for all the computers, and its been approved. Right now we are running 600mhz PIII's, it will be a big hop up to the 2.4ghz

With HT enabled, P4 2.4c gets about 12-14wu/day at stock speed with just memory timing tweaked!:)

You'll probably want to install SETI as service...and if the network connections is not always available use SETI Driver to cache some local workunits.

:cool:Goodluck:)

awesome. you'd kick Crazee's 12 PCs out of #1 and me out of #2 on daily production unbelievablity with that kind of production!! We'd have a shot at overcoming Pie Derro too! Also if you signed up for his 1 cent for WU program, and he approved you'd be pulling in over 2 grand a year!

Right now Im doing about 50'ish + or - WU's a day, and already opted out of the WU for money program. I could really use the cash for school, etc, but I'm not about to charge someone for wasted cpu cycles heh.

and Shale Queue are all mine

Its actually closer to 40/day right now, the old machines in the lab are piii 600's and we've had like 4 more of us go bonk, hence the new machines.

Unfortunately because of firewalls, I cant connect directly to The TeAm Queue, but the way I have it set up, The TeAm still gets credit for them.

I'm kind of new... What's this about having to connect to the team queue for them to get credit?

I thought if we had joined the team via the S@H website they'd get credit for all our stuff?

Hrm, I didn't say that you have to connect to the team queue for them to get credit. I am part of Team Smokeball aka The TeAm. I cant connect directly to Team Smokeball Seti Queue, so people don't see my results on his queue. Even though they don't show up on his queue, they still show up in the total number of results reported to berkeley.

You are correct that if you join hte team via the S@H website they get credit for it.
