1st! - Thanks HB!

Has anyone else noticed a new batch of Low Angle-Range WU's? I noticed it because my output was down. Bandwidth throttle?

Michael: I am back home from my Mother's and I noted that SetiQ is sending stats to the server! :D Also noted that my Apt. fleet is not submitting. Could be loosing 25 WU/day.:( Guess I'll find out 1/2/01.

thanks HB!

almost 1600 wus. we beat everyone in out neighborhood, but its sorta low production from what we've seen recently. heh. when i joined, which was only back in august, 1600 would have been great. ;)

JW - Sorry to hear about the Apt. fleet. One power failure can turn the whole sytem off. I hope it's just a problem with dialing out and your Q will be filled to the brim.

Michael

ps - lower than usual stats, but we still seemed to beat everyone else.

pps - thanks, HB

Keep in mind that I won't be doing much for SETI again until February 1st, so that'll account for between 35 and 45 WUs per day!

Of course the RC5 folks will be happy with me for a month. :)

Ah! Well, this mere mortal is gratified to know that "the gods" will be slugging it out with each other instead of with me! ;)

Yes, that's right. I'm extremely freaking late today. Why? Because I'm writing this from home. Why? Well, my work PC decided that it was going to crash and die early this afternoon. Great thing to happen considering I don't have a spare MB on the shelf, it's a holiday weekend, and I was in the middle of doing some end of month stuff! It's really easy finding a Slot1 MB at 12:30pm on the Friday before a holiday! Oh well, I guess the EOM stuff will just have to wait! If you think I'm whining because I've tried (several times) to purchase spare parts and have been denied then you're 100% correct!

Anyway, decent production. Too bad we had some members leave the team. Any member leaving hurts but hopefully they weren't a big producer.

NWM - We'll miss you production but if Train was correct we'll get it back and then some after that RC5 key is found.

Have a SAFE and Happy Holiday everyone!

Rob

i don't think anyone new realizes these forums are here... i haven't seen anyone pop in. maybe we should get an email list or something and just have a letter that says "hi. we're glad you've joined TeAm Anandtech, the best distributed computing team on the planet. you can reach us at the forums, also the IRC channel, and we have these websites [list websites]." can we get the email list from the seti people, though? i'm sure that if we can get the new people to come here i'm sure they won't be bailing on us on a whim.

Unfortunately The Beast was taken by our parent company a few months ago, and I no longer have access to it... Also most of the 900+ sparc workstations where I work are now being used 24x7 to crunch mortgage prepayment models :( not as fun as seti, but a bit more profitable...
