Linux will be tougher to pass, but we'll be gaining seriously on Canada at the same time. We're getting really, really close to a top 10 spot in the Team division and doing well overall.

A very nice present just before the new year. How many spots did we gain in 2000?

WooHoo! The 12th spot is finally ours! I think we've got enough production to reach the top 10. It may take us a little while but if we maintain our steady growth we'll get there.

Thanks Hellburner!

Please join me in celebrating today as the day when we finally passed those pesky Macs!!! :)

In commemmoration of the day, I have decided to drop a few teams (Ericsson and OS/2) off the bottom of the list, and add Unisys and Seti@Netherlands to the top of the list to see what it will take to get into the top 20, and to give us some additional goals to shoot for. ;)

The overall team stats for 12/27/2000 are:

#18 Seti@Netherlands........................(+136738).... +1370
#19 Unisys........................................(+107671).... +1194
#20 Canada.......................................(+72009).... +1030
#21 Linux..........................................(+44271).... +1314
#22 Cisco Systems............................(+10199).... +937
#23 Team AnandTech..........................448773.... +1937
#24 O'Grady's Go2Mac.com Team........(-515).... +501
#25 Oracle Corporation.......................(-35817).... +558
#26 Team NIPPON.............................(-47842).... +1259
#27 ABIT SETI@home Team...............(-48610).... +504

Thanks HB and Fard!

Up a notch! WTG TeAm!! :):D

We have been doing consistantly better than the other teams for a while now. Maybe we are the only ones that have not upgraded to 3.0.3. What do you think makes that difference?

I think its mostly down to the new members & the increased output of current members atm:)

Oh yeah ,forgot to say Goodbye Macs

JWM:
I seriously doubt that it has anything to do with client versions, as most of the 'stats junkies' on the other teams won't be upgrading for a while either. However, since I have been keeping track (since the beginning of November) which was long before the 3.03 version was released, we have almost always been at the top of the daily production for all teams even up to the #15 spot overall. This is probably due to other teams slowing down/losing interest, or due to our awesome growth recently, or more likely a combination of the two...

Some teams (like Cisco, Canada, and Unisys) have a relatively small number of their members who are still active, so it's likely that they have moved on to other things, which just makes it that much easier for us to catch them.. :D

I agree with Fardringle (Thanks for the stats BTW). I think our production is more due to the growth of our team in size (members) and power (assimilations). We've gained a lot of members, especially recently due to the front page article (Thank you Anand & crew!). We've also been increasing our fleets. I know I've added a ton of machines over the last 6-12 months. I've also upgraded several CPU's to make them more powerful. I know, I'm pathetic.

To be honest, if I could snap my fingers and have all my clients running 3.03 stable I'd do it in a second. The problem is I can't. It's going to take several hours to switch over my 34-35 clients and it's not like it's going to increase my production. I know, I know. Better science is what it's all about. I agree but I'll probably wait until I'm forced to switch. Why? I'm lazy and maybe a better, more efficient client will come out by them. ;)
