It's true that Linux has a large lead on us but you have to keep in mind even at the current rates by the time we move into the 13th spot we'll have already closed the gap to 12th by a very large amount.

You know, SETI is a GOOD thing for the work environment, I've NEVER been so motivated to set up new PC's so I can get 'em crunching SETI. Users benifit because I bust a$$ to get their systems up and running while I postpone other activities...what a riot.

I *THINK* i was able to switch all my old units (1400) to the team as well, by quitting my previous team before signing up. Anyone know if that is true?

Yes - a big welcome to beloved patriot and Jani! That is exactly what we need. Recruiting and assimilation are the keys to output. I'll be adding 6 P3-600's at work very soon (3 are already online) and like all of my other boxes they are 24/7.

On a sad note. I had a ship crash on me early this morning. I awoke around 2AM to hear a chatter, chatter, click, chatter, chatter, click coming from my 4th system. Sure enough, the 6.4 WD Cavier is a gonner. It's been acting up lately and finally died. I'm not going to fix it until I can get a MB, CPU, and HD. The BP6 &amp; C366@500 combo was giving me problems and it only did 2-3WU/day anyway. Still, it's sad when you lose one.

WDC has a 3 yr warr. I sent in a 6.4gig/5400/512k a month ago, they expressed me a 6.4gig/5400/2MB free. The week before that, I sent them a 3.2gig and they gave me back a 4.3gig.

Robor - If yours is a 6.4/512, do a little btching and they will give you a 2MB version to replace it.
