We need more members if we want to catch Team Nippon, They're just over producing us. I'll try and add one new member next week and I hope that everyone else trys as well.

I am getting a nice Cuppie boost this weekend, so it should help our stats somewhat. I'll also be adding a bunch of computers in screensaver mode at my new work place.

Michael

I'm trying to assimilate a friends new Athlon 700. Hopefully I can do it this weekend. Also, I have some machine at work cranked up for the weekend which should add 50-75 units. Lastly, I've been posting on other forums (both Anandtech and elsewhere) with links to the team homepages - hopefully people will see it and check it out.

Yeah, we always focus on the teams directly in front of us but there are quite a few farther ahead of us that we're closing on pretty fast.🙂

If I can talk a buddy of mine into buying one of my older systems from me he'll gladly run seti on it and then I can upgrade or buy me another seti cruncher. He just has to wait until he gets the cash.🙂

using 7 day averages (really just extrapolating from nexus9...)
5.84 weeks to catch os/2 warp
24.88 weeks to catch linux
20.27 to catch go2mac
54.80 to catch canada (blame canada!)
174.18 to thrash the slash.
and of course at the current rate we would end up in tenth. of course who knows what that moggin guy is doing, might be eleventh (we should recruit him!) so i guess we should all asslaminate some more. it really is recruitment... two teams above use gained 100+ members.

all this done while slightly hung over.

I just thought of this guys...when a computer tells a monitor to shut itself off, does it keep having the video card draw what would be on the screen if the monitor was on? If it does stop doing the graphics, then the GUI with the screensaver on wouldn't be so bad if we can get the people to have their monitors shut down after 15 mins. 🙂

ElFenix

It's rnoggin not moggin. Pretty much all of that team's members work at sun. The ring leader is guru. He used to belong to team lamb chop but got mad and left to start rnoggin. Then he left his own team to join sun (which he works for). He has several accounts all of them are running at an unbelievable rate.

BTW he has no team loyalty and I don't think he would ever consider joining us.

Sukhoi

That's why we tell everyone running the screensaver to go into the options and set it the screen saver to blank screen after 1 minute.🙂

i'm amazed at our output. after helping the RC5 team we managed to do over 1600. Thats amazing. Or maybe we just have to wait a few more days to see what happens. Either way nice output! and keep recruting!
Thanks HB

I think a big chunk of that was The Mighty Cuppies.🙂

Edit: Actually it looks like we've only turned about 11.5ghz worth of power to RC5 so far. With that little power gone we should still do alright.🙂

That was enough to put the seti RC5 miniteam in 25th place in the team dailies yesterday.😀

Nice output ! 🙂 Next Step : 2000 per day ! 🙂 But we must heavily recruit !!!

Thanks for the stats HB ! 🙂

FYI: Team NIPPON just lost M-Nara (10190 WUs) to Team EDGE, another Japanese team.
This should help you guys a lot.
Unfortunately that brings Team EDGE uncomfortably close to MURC 🙁

Nice output again 🙂 ,only just ahead of Nippon.......

hmm ,I wonder who else I could assimilate?

Sisyfos

Don't let them pass you ,we want you to cover our rear by following us..........not to closely though 😉

Now Nippon should go down much sooner.🙂

By yesterdays SetiCavalry RC5 keyrate, which btw was enough to place them 25th on the team in the dailies, I'd say we lost between 75-112wu's. That's not too bad.🙂

If you go back and check the last few days, 75 - 100 WU was the difference between Team Nippon out producing us and us outproducing them. 75 WU's is 5% of our production (with 1,500 being around an average day). If the drop is that big, then it is a disaster, and it has made almost zero difference in the RC5 race.

Michael

That was yesterday. The two days before and today it was about half of that. So someone may be doing a little megaflush so we may not actually be losing that much a day.🙂

<< If the drop is that big, then it is a disaster, and it has made almost zero difference in the RC5 race. >>

Exactly...

That's true it's alot of lost wu's, but there's nothing we can do about it. If someone wants to run RC5 it's their decision. I haven't supported the crossover to RC5 by the seti team but there's no point in letting it divide the team and cause anyone to leave. I would love to see the RC5 team do well but to me seti is still my primary concern. I just hope we'll eventually get a little help from the RC5 guys someday.
