We are in a bad situation vis-a-vis BBR. They are out-producing us nearly 1,000 WUs per day.

Without any definite end date of Seti-Classic to gauge the race, we are looking more and more like chickens ready for the plucking. True we have a substantial lead at the moment but if BBR is doing any "off book" production, which I think they are, our lead may not be what we think.

Problem: How to we enlist the support we once had from the rest of the TeAm? If that is distasteful (to me, it is) then how do we recruit new members? Have we switched over to BOINC too quickly?

I don't know how many of our TeAm reads HB's thread each morning but the situation is more serious than anyone may think. SNC posted yesterday that he only returned to the TeAm because he saw we were in 6th place. If he decides to remove his account once more our lead over BBR is even more in question. Some of our big hitters have either lost their fleets or have diverted some of their power to other projects. 🙁

I'm not sure what we should do. These are questions for all of us to ponder.

The one thing I know for sure is we will all feel very badly if we get passed right at the "wire" by BBR.

Is anyone checking out the graphs I post in this thread ... almost everyday?

Smoke sorry I have no answers for your questions. It look slike you have hit the nail on the head with all your points though. Myself after I lost my work fleet and finally hit 200K I kind of lost the "drive" I will be doing some upgrading in the next month and will think about moving my home fleet back over. That should account for around 100WU's a day. Until then I am leaving my fleet on SB. It has become cumbersome to change over 8 computers that are not on a server. Sorry.

I hear ya ,I think as far as existing members go all we can do is encourage them to stay with S@H1 for now.
You know if we had a cut off date it would make things much easier.If it was sooner we'd have little too worry about ,but if it isn't it would make it easy for us to pull in help from those who switch about projects.
Btw I don't think we have lost that much production yet to BOINC ,though it is hard to tell with the totally different stats,I've seen quite a few go back to their other projects though.
Anyway to compare BOINC output to S@H1?

Smoke, I hear you, and you're absolutely right! Like I've said before, we need new blood, rather than moven people between projects.

Of course if it boils down to the end... the TAS RallyTeAm would be glad to do some serious SETI! After all, that's what we live for! 😉
