I thought I'd better do some work on my fathers PC instead of just letting it be a SETI cracking machine for me ;)

We're getting there.....

I'm losing around 60WU/day this weekend.
They have powered down my floor of the building in work, so none of the new Sparcs will be able to talk to my SETIQ server...

:(:(

Excellent! Another high output day.

That sucks ColinP. Did you tell them what turning the power off will impact? "Come on people, we're talking about 60WU/day here!" ;)

:D Thanks again Hellburner :D

I only found out this morning when I tried to VNC into the SETIQ server and couldn't connect....
With some warning I might have been able to do something about it...

What I do on Unix boxes is have twho entries for each process in the crontab.
The first points to SETIQ, the 2nd direct to SETI@HOME.
So in theory, if SETIQ goes down, the boxes will try to connect directly..

Haven't had a chance to set it up on the new Sparcs though....
