I thought the Recruiting Threads must have started up with the new members at our doorstep but, alas, not yet.

After reading the latest "official" word from S@H I'm a little dismayed. I was looking forward to the ending of S@H-1 and getting started on the next version. Now the changeover is very much in doubt?

I'm starting to get a slightly different perspective of S@H-2 (BOINC). It sounds like BOINC is just going to be the "software program" that different "projects" will use as a launchpad and that "each project" will have its own stats ... not really much different than what we have now. I thought there was going to be some sort of universal yardstick where the various projects contributed to the same "scoreboard" ... but that is not looking to be the case. So we may be stuck with the current situation where each project competes against the others for idle CPU capacity. 🙁

What do you think?

Greg, I believe you are right. Every project will continue to have it's devotees and many are likely not to be incorporated into BOINC at all. I have always doubted the universal client will come to pass, because there are too many ego's involved.

The power of the team will always be divided between different projects ,even if they ran on the same platform.
IMO different stats for different projects makes sense ,cos there different!😉
