S-Fan socket on MS6340 Mobo- Do I have to use it?

Hello - I have just bought an Enermax 365 VD power supply unit. On fitting it to the above mobo, I seem to have a spare black and white (two wire ) cable . It has a plug on it which will only go one way into the S Fan socket on the mobo- However, on looking at the (almost the same ) mobo diagram, it shows that the black Grd wire goes in the "top" connector whereas the plug puts it in the bottom one!.
So, Is the PSU lead wired wrongly ?
Or Am I reading the mobo right? - It seems to be a slight variant on the manual I have , 'cos the manual shows there should be a C-Fan plug on the mobo and there isn't one on mine.

Or is the safest thing for me to do is not plug it in , as i suspect it is only a monitor and therefore not necessary. ??

Advice please

Thx
