S. Cal, How much is your house? or How much do you pay for rent?

$450,00 for a 3 bedroom house
and $1,200/month for a 2 bedroom apartment seems to be the norm now.

Somebody shoot me.

man, I don't know how so many people can afford to live in Cali.

Houston
5 bedroom, 3600 sq ft house on 1 1/2 acres - $350K

3 bedroom apartment - $1200/month

Its because the money is in Cali.

I own 2 houses. 1 which is my primary residence (1350 sq/ft Townhouse) the second which I rent out, which gives me about $380/month positive cash flow from rental income. I'm looking at purchasing a 3rd home sometime soon. Eventually I will own enough rental property to retire modestly, before I'm 50.

That's great for one rental property.

Haha. No!

mine was 650K for a 4 bedroom in orange county, its actually gone up quite a bit since i purchased it a year ago

Anaheim, near the 5/91 interchange. $1200 for a 2bd 2ba apartment. Was paying $800 for a 1bd 1ba apartment in the same complex.

Pretty typical.
