??'s about hooking up an ATA/100 card.

I just installed a ATA/100 card, got the drivers in, but I'm not sure how to connect the cables.
I mean, should I just have the hard drive on the card, and everything else on the mobo?
or does everything have to be hooked up to the card, in order for it to operate correctly?

I have a DVD-Rom, a CD-RW, the hard drive and a zip drive hooked up to the mobo right now.

Any help, as to how the cables should be run and what goes where, is greatly appreciated.
