I think with AGESA 1.0.0.4 patch B, and my R5 3600, it seems to work, or possibly the BIOS now defaults to Disabled for IOMMU.
I had a lot of issues booting Mint on my rig a few versions back, unless I disabled support in BIOS.
Now I'm looking to build a DIY NAS / VM server, based on unRAID.
I'm going to be using ASRock X370 TaiChi, for it's 10x SATA ports, and I've got an OG Ryzen R5 1600. (I haven't checked if it's an "AF", but I doubt it.)
Found this RDT thread, with some small flakes of wisdom.

Edit: After further reading of that thread, someone has an X370 TaiChi, and a 3900X, with the newest BIOS with AGESA 1.0.0.4 patch B, that seems to have fixed the pass-through problems for people.
This video seems instructive and helpful, I may put my GTX 1660ti into my unRAID server eventually.
