I recently purchased a Ryzen 5 7600X with a MSI B650 Tomahawk motherboard for my secondary system. I noticed that in Cinebench and OCCT, one core of the CPU is running about 13 degrees C hotter than the coolest running core and it's always the same cores. I reapplied the thermal paste, thinking maybe the blob wasn't large enough and a little off center, so this time I put a bigger blob in the center of the heat spreader of the CPU. Now the CPU runs maybe 1 degree C cooler than before but the variation in temperatures between the coolest running core and the hottest running core are still the same. I'm using a Hyper 212 Black Edition CPU cooler and MX4 thermal paste for the CPU cooling. My 7800X3D in my main system is the same way in temperature variance between the coolest and hottest running cores but not by this much, around a 10 degrees C variance) and it's using a Noctua U12A on that one. Is this normal for my 7600X?

what are the temps low and high ?

Well I ran CB 23 just now and it was 93 C on the hottest one and 79 C on the coolest one, and the others in the mid-to upper 80's. Additionally, I noticed that the hottest core is consuming around 16W while the others are consuming between 14-15W, so I doubt the my thermal paste application on the CPU is to blame on this one.

Then you have no worries. There is a difference in how hot the cores run, and anything below 95c is great !
