Ryzen 5 3600 CPU $199.99 @ Newegg.

---

Just a heads-up, these are both available right now at roughly MSRP, which ordinarily wouldn't merit a deal, but given the current state of the market, it is.

This reminds me of great GPU shortages in 2017. Did we learn something? I guess not.

Oh, to be sure, we are fast approaching that again in late 2020 and ;probably also in early 2021.

I saw an EVGA GTX 1650 D6 SC Ultra going for $960 USD.

I regularly see GTX 1660 Super above $400, and RX 5700(XT) above $600-700.

When people figure out that they can just buy these cards and make enough money with them to pay for themselves in 7-10 months, well, they sell pretty well.

Or make it back much quicker by flipping them on Ebay.

Ryzen 5 3600 CPU $209.99 @ Newegg

US maybe...still way overpriced in Canada ($255 USD on Newegg.ca with the $20 shipping, $225 USD on Amazon). I paid $165 USD for my 3600, 7 months ago. I suspect they will be dropping to more normal prices shortly though. Newegg.ca usually mirrors the US site, and they're usually a bit cheaper here when you factor exchange for whatever reason. Probably after Xmas. I 'briefly' considered just having my son buy an i5 10400F (which is actually a little faster in games than the 3600, with 3200 RAM) and a B460 MB, but I now have this MSI Carbon B450 board in a box that I'll then have to sell. The 10400F is only $160USD on Newegg.ca. All-in the 3600 would cost $325 CAD, the 10400F would be $225 CAD. 3600 is crazy overpriced right now.

Now $199.99 (finally, Newegg stopped gouging?) @ Newegg as well.

Sounds like a larger disty got in some stock, and Newegg kept gouging as long as they could, while Amazon and BestBuy were selling them for list price.

Sad to say, I bought one a week ago for $229.99 from Newegg. :(

Kind of tempted to buy one but I know when I do a week later they'll launch the 5600 non-X for $220 or something.

Wow... a current generation AMD Ryzen CPU IN STOCK? Wow.

Now, if you could find an Nvidia 3070 GPU to go with it, I'll be super impressed.
