I am using MSi TomaHawk B350 with Ryzen 2700. I bought the B450 AORUS PRO WIFI. I was thinking about giving mine B350 to him and I would use B450. I am using 4X 8 Gig F4-3200C C14. I can run advertise at advertise speed.I am also in Canada and I think that cpu will be OK for now.
If he was going to a 450/470 board or 550/570 board I would wait and get a 3600 or a 5600x when in stock.
He will be using 2X8 3200 C16, which can be handle fine by B350.
Plus my computer see 80% WFH and 20% Game so stability with efficient ram is essential for me. Sometimes I run my VM 12 hrs
Honestly, that's a GREAT price, and performance shouldn't be TOO far off of a 3600.
Considering that I just paid $229 + $3 for a real 3600 from Newegg (cheapest price that I could find for a Ryzen Zen2 6-core), I would have rather paid $125 for a 3500X, all things considered, although I no longer order CPUs from China-sellers (if I ever did).
I think it costs more to buy one of the Zen 2 quad-cores with SMT since those have generally seen the prices go up over the past few months, so you're getting 2 more physical cores for a lower cost. It's actually a pretty good deal after checking prices on Newegg and other sites.
3300X and i3-10100 do not exit ..... not even sure where I can get it from. Back in June I have ordered it form B&H yet to see it.I would factor what the full cost of, international shipping and import duties, etc... Ever use Aliexpress before?
Vs just buying a 3600 or i3-10100 in country with free shipping, and much less hassle if something goes wrong.
I am paying 20% more for 3500X; hopping the performance is also 20 % more. ($95 for 3300X and $120 3500X)
If I go with Ryzen 3600X I would be paying 357% more. I think performance will be only 3% more over 3500X?
Since shipping is free, and more then likely it would come through a sea sail ship from china and would be arriving in Canada by a month, still it is not that bad of a deal.
I am simply uneasy about purchase of CPU from China. (Stereo Type of me)
Taxes are Hit and Miss. They handoff to federal mail, where they it can get charge 13% Tax by customs, and some time they slip. So lets see, what happens this time.
I have used the PayPal.... for extra layer of security.
