So my X99 setup has started to develop some issues, it seems I'm down to two RAM channels. I'm looking at replacing the system with a Ryzen 3000 setup on X570 or B450, but I'm having trouble locating a motherboard that meets my needs.

Ideally, I would get one that has two slot spacing (x16, space, x16). Otherwise I'd need to buy a new link to join the waterblocks on my 1080 Tis and would need a new HB SLI Bridge. The vast majority of X570 boards seem to be 3 slot spacing though. Anyone know of a 2 slot AM4 board that isn't crazy expensive?

Maybe the Asrock Steel Legend?

One warning there are complaints about video cards blocking the chipset fan. Not sure if this is an actual problem or internet people whining about something that doesn’t matter.
Chipset fans are all close to the video cards because something to do with PCIE 4.0 and the length it can be from the processor *I think*. This could be the reason you are having trouble finding a board with the desired spacing.

Thanks for the suggestion. Assuming you're talking about this X570 Steel Legend, the spacing is actually extra wide. Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology, when I say 2 slot spacing I mean that the X16 slots are at say slot 1 and slot 3, with one blank space between them. Almost all the boards I see have two spaces between the PCI-e slots.
