That seems curious that they would be discounting them, this early in the game. Unless MC needs another juicy loss-leader to get people into the stores.

Places like Amazon and B&H Photo have them for $235. So it seems like Micro Center tries to beat them by around $30 to get people into their stores. Another example is them selling the 3800X for $350 whereas Amazon is at $380.

Was in Cambridge MC last night, they had some flash sale thing on the 3800x, extra $10 off seemed like an overstock sale type thing they appeared to have tons of them but not tons of everything else.

Most likely they just want to move some inventory of the slower moving offerings. The 3600x and 3800x are the 2 somewhat oddball offerings that currently have the largest discounts. Both offerings weren't really worth the price increase vs the 3600 and 3700x. Enticing buyers towards the slower moving offerings clears up the excess inventory.

Picked one up yesterday $196 out the door with 5%off with microcenter credit card. One thing to watch is they have a habit of not updating prices on the display cases. The CPU was listed at $235. Same with motherboards, etc.

Free game and 3 months X-Box pass included

Darn it I didn’t get the game on my 3800x purchase
