RX-7 for sale... $29k...

It's probably been sitting for so long... which is pretty bad... but you probably won't find another FD with mileage this low... and you can be sure this rotary isn't in bad shape... YET... another thing to consider is the rat's nest inside this thing... would you buy it if you were in the market for an RX-7?

My friend has a 1993 RX-7.. at about 80K miles the engine self destructed, so he's been rebuilding the whole thing. Along the way he's straightened out that "rat's nest". He removed every single piece of electronics and extra weight, i.e. A/C, radio, cruise control, etc... and modified the turbos to kick in simultaneously instead of one after the other.

With all the mods he's going to be doing it's no longer street legal but when he's done it'll be a monster at the track.

RX-7 is a nice car, but I wouldn't pay $30k for 1993 model.

Why not go with a large turbo instead? Was there a TT version stock? It was a sequential setup?

Thats pretty high, you could wait til the z350 prices come back down when the RX-8, Evo VII, and other new cars are released. But a USED RX-7 for $29k

BWAHAHA!! I hope the dealer has that car covered in ketchup because he's going to wind up eating it at that price. The Kelly Blue Book retail value for that year, mileage and equipment level is around 15k.

I dunno... that dealer will be making $$$... once the fast and the furious 2 is out... or 2 fast and 2 furious whatever they call it...

If I'm not mistaken, the 3rd gen RX7 is faster (0-60, 4.9 secs) and handles better than the new 350Z. It also weighs about 650 lbs less. That would also make it faster than the RX8. Besides, neither the 350Z, Evo, or RX8 look as good and pure as the RX-7

It has almost 100 lb/ft more of peak torque than the rx-8 as well.
