dont mean to bust on you war, but 11.21 stock is ridiculous. putting all the magazine stats aside, take a look at some of the numbers performance cars are putting out:

the e55 amg, 2002+ vette z06, and the 911 turbos are low-mid 12 second cars. i dont even know of a stock 11 second car thats in a reasonable price bracket (i just read above about the enzo, but i didnt even think of that). i wouldnt have problem believing that number if the car was HEAVILY modified, but even then i dont know what the rx-7 is capable of once modified.

mid-high 13s sound much better for the 1/4 in that car.

No no, I deserve it b/c I was wrong. I'm grateful people called me on it, or else I would have been walking around all this time thinking my car was faster than an Enzo or a 911. Ugh. Thanks for being mature about the correctiveness, unlike some people around here.

Cheers!

Hrm, driver? Maybe I did do a 1/8 LOL. This was 3 years ago. I have my stats from the race track somewhere around here. If thats a 1/8 then I'm a horrible driver and my car is S-L-O-W

The only thing you can say to save face is that you lied and you've never taken your car to the track. 11.2 is about a 17.5 in the 1/4 mile. That's pathetic, especially with a TT. Even 9.6 is slow - 15.072ish (all estimates)....

Slow? Unreliable? LMAO! Must me a mustang owner. 😛
Mustangs can pwn RX-7s in speed and quality noob

LMAO! Thats for the display of immaturity. You know when someone is backed into a corner when they resort to name calling.
Actually I was just joking around.

What's funny is that you thought you ran 11's with a stock RX-7. What's HILARIOUS is the fact that you think RX-7s are reliable cars. LOL. For the record, RX-7 is my second favorite car. I'd own one, but I like my bombs in iraq, not under the hood of my car.

11s are slow for a Civic in the 1/8 mile.

Yeah thats what I thought, i dont think an rx-7 can post 11s even with a grandma behind the wheel. Especially not a 255hp that warcow says he has.

11 seconds in a rx-7 w/ 255 hp?
BUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Obviously the stats I've already provided to you displays the HP rating (255) a weight (2,797lbs). Personally, with my rebuild (engine, no mods except a bigger all aluminum radiator) is 11.21. I've only taken it to the track 3 times, and that was my best, another RX-7 down there on the same day bested me with 9.6 (i think).

I'm sorry, did you just tell me your totally stock 225HP car ran 11.21 in the 1/4 mile?

No. I didnt. I said my stock 255HP, twin turbo (sequental) rx-7 did.

low 11's?
the 911 turbo will only run 12's AFAIK.
It was a typo, I still don't believe that for a second.

Ok cool. Doesnt matter to me 🙂

Can we get back to the thread topic now? You can tell the chop is done b/c in the background the cars are of different shades of white
It's going to be hard to get back on topic with you claiming that your car is neck and neck with an Enzo at the drag strip, and smokes a murcielago and porsche 911 turbo, don't you think? 😛

11.21 quarter is not as fast a 911 or enzo.

My '88 Mustang GT was by far the WORST car I've ever owned. The bone head designers used two different metals on parts held together with gaskets, meaning two different expansion rates. The result? Having to change head gaskets every 10000 miles after the 45000 mark, water leaks, oil leaks, overheating....what a piece of crap!

The ONLY place on that motor where there are dis-similar metals joined by a gasket is the timing cover. The timing cover is aluminum, and the block is iron. And the seal there is hardly the most critical seal on the car.

The heads are iron, same as the block. You're telling me the two different iron parts caused you to have head gasket problems because they expand at different rates?

Just goin' by what the mechanic told be as we were looking at the various oil and water leaks. It didn't blow a head gasket. This was stuff from around the water pump, head gaskets, oil sensors....hell, even the freakin oil cap leaked and had to be replaced LOL. My neighbor's '87 kept blowing out his tranny...something about the gear shaft warping, but not sure what that was about.

Had a Mazda B2200 pickup after that. Lasted 220,000 before blowing the head gasket. Never had a major repair in it's life before that (and I had it for a good 11 years). I'm on the "Mazda quality/Ford crappy" boat here. Sorry.

Iono, his story seems pretty consistant. Hope this isn't another one of those where someone is creating another persona online.

dunno, never answered that question, that RX-7 there is a Peter Farell RX-7, he said NO mods, that car HAS mods. After the matrix thread, etc. He just doesn't seem like a Harvard Student(aash.net belongs to a Harvard guy).

Ford trucks are a little different than Ford cars. I know plenty of people with Rangers who treat them like crap and it still runs like it's brand new.

it's not a peter farrel rx7, it's an rx7 that's been sent to the peter farrel supercars shop, a rotary shop in the.... southeast us?? and had a lot of money spent on it...

and umm yeah, warcrow, what's ur story? no mods? or mods?

Actually, thats not my RX-7. But Its the *exact* same model w/o the mods (exactly same moteguo-blue (sp?)). I like it stock, I don't need mods and I don't race. I use to have originals of my car, but the pics got hosed (on a friends FTP). I've just been too lazy to take some shots and upload them. Hrm, I'll probably do that sometime soon after I get her all waxed up and stuff.

(No, I didnt go to harvard 😉)
