Appears to be on par with a 1060GTX 6GB, a 6 year old card, I always like to translate to nVidia in terms of performance 😉
I looked up 1060 prices on newegg, they are still in the stratosphere of last year's pricing, LOL.

With the 6500xt it is unfortunately not that simple. You MUST keep it within the 4GB frame buffer, especially on PCIE 3.0. The performance penalty can be severe otherwise. However, even then, it is a better buy than the 1050ti or 1650, which along with the 1060, dominate the Steam survey.

It's a shame so many cash strapped gamers let big reviewers scare then away from this GPU. Especially the ones that opted for the 1050ti.

$150 is my price point for a 6500xt. I think it may hit that price by mid summer, so I am holding out. I would like to get hands on with it. Even the budget friendly tech tubers have provided disappointing game suites.

It's a sub par card though that doesnt even use it's nice port..also lol 4gb vram? Be ready to return it.. here's a video Here

it's a ditch in the ground for people to fall into... the price is fake. its actual price is a ripoff for what your paying.. this card if it could speak it would say buy the card above me.

Walk intro Microcenter and it’s basically the same price as a 1050ti.

The GDDR6 1650 cards are well over $200.

1660s and 3050s are well over $300 and approaching $400.

Compared to those, it’s a big 🤷‍♂️

Why get mad?

I 100% agree that if you are spending $200 you should pinch pennys to get to $320 or so for a 6600 which has some real staying power and easily 100% performance uplift when you take the 6500xts stumbles into account.

But if you just have that much money or are only interested in Minecraft/Roblox/F2P and want 60 fps? It works.

when did I show I was mad? are you trolling? I guess this could fit a little but just remember that this card has a bad situation. you shouldn't buy this at all for a older gen port as stated in a few reviews it operates at around 10% to 15% slower than it should. so this is a meh card but even worse for older motherboards. also it doesn't even have av1 codec for no reason..

No thread crapping. If the subject matter of a deal does not interest you, do not post negative comments about it, or about other members, in the thread.

It's time to stop derailing the thread.

There is a reason for it not having the codecs (more than AV1, I believe) - the chip used for the 6500XT is a mobile discrete chip, intended to be used with an APU - which WOULD have the codec support needed.

I feel like the 6500XT is not a bad card for less than $150, I'd be happier if it were $100. Any post of a 6500XT SHOULD have some caveats for the card: Should be paired with an APU (lack of CODEC support), not recommended for PCIe 3.0. Those are pretty basic things that people should be alerted to, so they have proper expectations

It's rare for a hot deals post to include a list of caveats. This isn't a reviews thread. People shopping for deals on the ghost town that is this sub forum are likely pretty informed consumers.

All of these points have already been hashed out ad nauseum in the appropriate sub on this particular GPU.

And the rules support keeping the chatter in regards to the deal, not the product so much as well.
