RX 480 better visual quality than GTX 1060!?

Is it me or does the RX 480 have better visual quality in Witcher 3? RX 480 gameplay looks more bright and sharper, while the GTX 1060 looks darker and slightly blurred !!!? There is also more detail on the RX 480, look at the grass at the end of the W3 segment, there are some white flowers around the legs, while NOTHING on the GTX 1060!

Nvidia artificially boosting the performance by forcing lower details through driver or is this something less innocuous?

I can't tell any difference between the two. I've heard this mentioned over and over since I started getting into PC gaming. The only card I ever had that was noticeably better looking than a competitor was a Voodoo 5 5500 (which was better than a Radeon 9600 Pro that came after). I think people see what they want to see sometimes... given their brand preference.

Any visual quality difference in this day and age boils down to per-game abnormalities. Otherwise its identical

Guessing the flowers are because he walked into a different area slightly (manual running to the top of the hill). Its really hard to tell without the images being fullscreen as they could have been right next to him.

For colors, it might be due to HDMI. Nvidia for whatever reason limits HDMI colors by default which causes them to look worse.
