RX-470, Radeon Relive PC Freeze on Install, ensuing Black-Screen

I bought a New MSI Gaming X RX-470 4GB at Micro Center a few days ago.

I have tried to install the new Radeon ReLive twice now, each time at exactly the ReLive itself being Installed my PC will Freeze. Manual Shut-Down is only way out. Upon restart I have a completely Black-Screen.

Anybody know what could be causing the Freeze and Black-Screen ?

The PC in question is listed in my Sig.

BTW The PC runs fine with the AMD 7/18/16 Driver from Windows 10 Update

Try downloading DDU: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Download the 16.2.2 from AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-art...son-ReLive-Edition-16.12.2-Release-Notes.aspx

Run it in safe mode, tell it to disable windows update drivers and remove all existing amd/nvidia drivers, then reboot.

You'll have a 800x600ish screen size (maybe 1024 default now). Install the latest 16.12.2 drivers

DDU has an option to Disable Windows Update Drivers ?, or do I Disable that myself in Windows ?

BTW How do I get into Safe-Mode ?, I'm running Windows 10 x64 and F8 doesn't work to get into safe-mode.

DDU does, its on the right side iirc.

Also DDU will reboot into safe mode when you run it, its a drop down option after you first launch it.

I am having the same problems in 2 pcs, windows 10 rx 480, rx 460 windows 7
its clear tha AMD sucks, i want to use worse words but i will not
even ddu , freezes in safe mode, i had years to see my pc freeze.
AMD didnt test enough her drivers so or you are lucky and all install fine or you have big problems
and even if you manage to install all problems continue. when the power save turns off the screen and turns on again you will see a message for wattman
many games will have direct x error and will not run, they will drop u back to desktop
Only solution for now is to run the cd that came with the card, i believe it will work, and stay there until an updated driver will work
Or sell the card and go nvidia, and never go amd again

freezes in safe mode

Dude if the card freezes in safe mode its not drivers

ofc it is drivers
i can make it work and tested the card has no problems, it something between my setup and windows 10 and amd drivers
i can prove you everything i say
just to tell you this, a message pops up and says you can update
ok you klik it and wait the update
then a new message saying ....... this program is not for windows 64bit but for 32 bit....
the best automated update ever!

I will try to help you with the steps i took
1. go to monitor advanced ( i have greek windows so ill try the best) and change the adapter to standard microsoft vga, type
2. Install from your cd or download older drivers, i used my cd which had the 12.1
they installed just fine, i didnt installed relive i left it for later,
3.I downloade the 17.1 from site, which are whql. and run it
i chose the fast setup
drivers installed and everything working fine

Now looking for a solution to Direct X erros to some games
