Seems almost unbelievable.
I don't see why they can't sell the low end cards and kill their high end sales, since the low end makes them the most money, unless they're worried about huge backstock which they won't be able to shift, which could be a problem.

I would really like to see ACTUAL financial results from ATI or nVidia which shows low end parts earning big "net profits". I agree they "earn" more from low end parts because they sell tons of them to OEMs, but at much smaller "profit" margins. I think they make more net profits from middle to high ends cards.
