According to Fox top Russian diplomats are meeting with Washington in the coming days. I think I heard this right: Putin is looking for ways to get support among his own government for a possible war on Iraq. Bush plans on using a top CIA guy to try and draw connections between Iraq and Al Queda, which will strike a chord among the Russian people who have suffered at the hands of Chechen terrorists. It mentioned at the end that at the least they expect an absention from Russia, but are still hoping for a yes. If that's the case the only remaining veto power members would be china and france. I've heard so little from China recently I wouldn't really expect them to veto if there is otherwise fairly strong support for an Iraq-attack, and it does seem like world opinion is going that way in light of things like the recent european union solidarity.
