This money trail has a lot in common with a lava flow doesn't it? It seems to burn everything it touches.:p

It’s complete speculation on Avenattis part what it was used for. There’s no evidence it was actually used for that purpose.
True, but it will put further heat on Dump because it will only add to the possible charges Cohen might face.

Except...it probably seems quite likely that the money was used for some illicit purpose even if it wasn't to Daniels...

Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigators have questioned a Russian oligarch about hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments his company's US affiliate made to President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, after the election, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Viktor Vekselberg, chairman of asset manager Renova Group, is an oligarch close to Vladimir Putin, and last month the Trump administration placed him on a list of sanctioned Russians for activities including election interference. The purpose of the payments, which predate the sanctions, and the nature of the business relationship between Vekselberg and Cohen is unclear.

And

The Daily Beast can confirm that Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a company controlled by Putin-aligned Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg.

The allegations were initially made Tuesday by Michael Avenatti, porn actress Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, and confirmed by a source familiar with the matter.

“How the fuck did Avenatti find out?” the source asked The Daily Beast.

According to a dossier published by Avenatti on Tuesday evening, “Vekselberg and his cousin Mr. Andrew Intrater routed eight payments to Mr. Cohen through a company named Columbus Nova LLC beginning in January 2017 and continuing until at least August 2017.”

I really would like to know who tipped Avenatti off about this though. He was out ahead of everyone with this info.

If you are hinting its someone on Mueller's team, almost no chance. They have been leak free to date. I would guess it came up in a flag of large deposits that get flagged for everyone.

Zero chance it was Mueller team or anyone associated to him. Someone else dropped this to Avenatti.

Wow, nearly $400K in payments to Essential Consultants from Novartis Pharmaceuticals in 4 payments...and immediately after the last payment, Trump has dinner with Novartis' CEO in Davos.

Novartis spokesperson after the payments became public: "Any payments that were made were handled by the previous CEO and have nothing to do with current leadership."

Hmm....something definitely fishy here.

We know AT&T was trying to get their merger approved...what was Novartis trying to get??
