Russian journalist Alexander Shchetinin found dead in Kyiv flat

Russian journalist and Putin critic, and recent Ukrainian citizen, Alexander Shchetinin has been found dead in his flat. He was found sitting in a chair on a balcony, with a gunshot wound to the head, with a gun under the chair. Shells also seem to have been found at the scene, and the door was locked. A suicide note was found at the scene, and apparently an email was sent to one of his friends, apparently from his email account, which contained language talking about a suicide. However the Russians are well acquainted with computers and assassinations, and Pavel Sheremet was murdered in a car bomb blast only a few months ago in the middle of a Kyiv square.

Russia Beyond the Headlines has also suggested he may have had financial problems.
