Are you saying that the Obama administration actually didn't give 20% ownership of our uranium extraction capacity to Russia? What am I missing here other than all the condescension?

I'm saying that a foreign company from whatever nation having mining rights for minerals that they are not allowed to keep is NOT giving those minerals to that company and that if you don't understand the difference you might need to start over in kindergarten where you can learn the basics of sharing and not sharing.

Or in very short and sweet language, a Russian company has a contract to mine minerals for the US, they do not have any rights to the minerals, only the contract to mine for them.

They do not possess any export rights and the minerals can stay in the US or be shipped to a processing plant in Ontario and from there go right back to the US.

The company has no mineral rights and does not own even a single tenth of a gram of uranium that they mine.

To answer your question more directly, yes, I am saying that the Obama administration didn't give a single percentage or any derivative of a percentage either of ownership of any uranium.

He gave them mining rights, or rather, they had the competing bid and won the mining rights, that gives them no rights to any of the mined minerals, those are US property.

Still today CNN and all the others are rehashing how social media i.e. Facebook were part of the mess.
Talking about FB and Russians buying ads on FB, etc etc.
WELL.... I seen those ads and the thing was if you liked Hilary you either ignored those ads because you knew is was all BS, or if you did not like Hilary you clicked on the ads and enjoyed the Hilary bashing even though you too knew they were all BS.

IT WAS NOT RUSSIA!
It might have been but it wasn't.
It was the celebrity of a moron like Donald Trump.
It was CNN and MSNBC, their every word their every story, their every focus was on Trump.
Like with Howard Stern, many people hate Howard but they listen because they want to see what outrageous nonsense Howard say next.

No one can deny that every time Trump spoke in a rally during that election, CNN dropped everything to live cover the event. And should CNN grow tired of that """breaking-news""", one could always tune over to MSNBC to continue their viewing.
The media LOVED TRUMP because it meant ratings. BIG RATINGS.
It was like sitting in a bar and watching some outrageous drunk make an ass of him or her self.
THAT gets attention, and so did the nonsense of Donald Trump, and this is what caused Hilary to lose.
Had democrats been with it they would have counter offered with their own version of Donald Trump.
Oprah, or maybe George Cloney. Pee Wee Herman. I'd vote for Pee Wee.

This was a weird election, people were in a weird mood, and politicians in general were thought to be the problem not the cure.
The perfect storm for a win by Donald Trump.
And Trump knew this all along. He knew he could win because people are idiots. He knew that.

Forget Russia and FB ads, what I'd like to know and have investigated is exactly why CNN and MSNBC gave Donald Trump 24/7 news coverage?
Why did CNN and MSNBC with their audience mostly made of liberals, why did CNN and MSNBC drop everything to live coverage Trump night after night?
And now.... CNN and all the others a just turn away and refuse to accept their role in the creation of Donald Trump.

Hilary was not exciting. Bernie was not exciting per se. But Donald Trump?
He was a celebrity A really rich old fart. Your drunken grandfather at Thanksgiving dinner.
The drunken grandfather that tells everyone around the table just what he thinks of them.
And it isn't pretty.
It isn't pretty but... everyone will enjoy the drama, the fun, enjoy the Hunger Games.

We all watched as Trump knocked off challenger after challenger during the debates.
Remember that?
Was that Russia? I don't think so.
People thought Jeb had it in the bag, and Trump destroyed Jeb with a single word.
People thought Cruz had it in the bag. Nope! Destroyed!
And then thought Christy, or little Rubio, even Kasich at one point, etc etc etc and etc down the line.
One by one all destroyed with childish school yard behavior, and the Donald tweets.
Oh those tweets....
CNN LOVED IT. MSNBC loved it. Everyone loved it. We all loved watching the Chaos.
And watching it live when ever possible.

Donald Trump, love him or hate him, became a God.
Russia did not do that, CNN did.
Is it any wonder after destroying every republican challenger by his childish behavior, is it any wonder that Donald would not then go on to destroy a light foot like Hilary Clinton? Destroy grandma?
Really? Was that surprising? To anyone?
Sure, Russia tried to influence that election but their attempt went nowhere.
What elevated Donald Trump into the presidency was the media. Mostly the liberal media fact be told.
CNN and MSNBC were responsible for this just as much as Fox News or Rush Limbaugh.

Politics has forever changed. People no longer take it serious.
After GW Bush, people think that anyone can do this presidential thing.
So why not elect the craziest guy (or woman) on the stage then sit back and enjoy the chaos.

No deal handing over any amount of Uranium to Russians ever occured and YOU KNOW THAT! You have been educated in various threads on this very topic and yet you keep insisting.

It's like the blind retard dog walking into a wall over and over and over and over again and no one worries about brain damage because there is no coherent thought in that brain any more.

Actually we don't know that. The NRC said that no uranium was "directly" sent to Russia, but had you been paying attention you would know that exported uranium was not returned to the US despite assurances to the NRC that would not happen, and was sent to Europe. Holy triggered safespaces, Batman. You are in the lead for the most clueless Libtard. You should not take that lightly because there are several on this board that work hard at being clueless.

Not allowed to keep? Then please tell me how 25% of our U308 supply that went to Canada got effectively sold to Europe and Asia via book transfer?

So rather than going with reality you've decided to be deranged to the point of no coherency?

I'm fine with that but if you want to make claims, kid, be fucking well sure to back it up.

They do not have an export licence to anywhere so they cannot export anything anywhere you fucking retard.

I can't because it didn't happen, the Ontario processing facility processed the ore and it was shipped back to the US, through four deals that are very well documented the US exported it.

The Ontario processing plant is responsible by law to only act in accordance with US apropos and have done just that, it has fuck all to do with any Russian company but hey, any seed you retards can sow in your world of mentally disabled conspiracies are well done, aren't they...

But I know ... I know... Just like the people claiming that jet fuel cannot melt steel beams and that the moon landing was a falsification you are just "asking questions"...

No they were not and they do not fucking claim what you purport that they claim either, no fucking Russian company ever exported jack shit from the US regarding Uranium.

God damn it you people are as thick as fucking lead. Which is good for you as your brain damage should not be worsened by any form of radiation.

Excuse me, but why would anybody ship American uranium to Russia? It makes no sense considering that Rosatom has control over operations in Kazakhstan whose production is enormous, supplying a huge piece of the world market.

US production is miniscule by comparison-

http://www.u3o8.biz/s/MarketCommentary.asp?ReportID=754347&_Title=10-Top-Uranium-producing-Countries

Shee-it, Sherlock. The reason Rosatom bought Uranium One was because of their interests in Kazakhstan. That's the real prize. The only way to do it was to buy Uranium One & all their interests entirely. American uranium was incidental to the deal.

Well, unless it's one of those stealing our precious bodily fluids kinda deals...

All of which has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Perhaps you'd care to tell us how it feels to be on the same side of the election as extremely clever Russian psyops. Is it comfy?

I kinda wonder why the Uranium matters so much. The US and Russia have plenty enough nukes still for mutually assured destruction. The danger would be countries starting new nuclear programs attaining it, but I'm sure Russia wouldn't mind selling more ready-made nukes instead of somehow getting the Uranium from the US, smuggling it to Russia, enriching it, then distributing it to hostile nations. Does not seem very plausible to me.

Also, this thread has (predictably) wandered off topic.

Reality matters not at all to these people, they know "the truth" and there is nothing you can do or say that will convince them otherwise.

They'll return in another thread repeating the same falsehoods and act as ignorant of the facts as they did in this one.

You can't fix wilful ignorance, no one can.

Including possibly JFK, superpowers even try to overthrow elected leaders when they don't like the results. The U.S. is not innocent of this. Why is anyone surprised? "Collusion" is rampant. Conspiracy is the real crime.

Mainly because you don't welcome outside powers that influence your democratic elections but Trump has done just that publicly on numerous occasions.

Why does it matter? Are you fucking kidding me?

Collusion with a foreign state to subvert the democratic process is the highest form of treason there is and the ONLY form of treason that is universally punishable by death no matter what the circumstances are.

People need to get some facts straight on BothSides

http://thehill.com/policy/national-...sian-bribery-plot-before-obama-administration

Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.

http://thehill.com/policy/national-...deal-led-to-some-exports-to-europe-memos-show

Uranium One's American arm, however, emailed a statement to The Hill on Wednesday evening confirming it did export uranium to Canada through the trucking firm and that 25 percent of that nuclear fuel eventually made its way outside North America to Europe and Asia, stressing all the exports complied with federal law.

“None of the US U308 product produced to date has been sold to non-US customers except for approximately 25% which was sold via book transfer at the conversion facilities to customers from Western Europe and Asia," executive Donna Wickers said. “Any physical export of the product from conversion facilities to non-US destinations is under the control of such customers and subject to NRC regulation.”

Uranium only matters as a distraction & a segue into Clinton conspiracy theories.

Why the Hell would Russia sell nuclear weapons to anybody?

Sheesh.

And bashing Trump and his cronies feels good, albeit a little sadist-y. It feeds the needs of fairness, justice, and retaliation in our brains, [edit] as well as the tribal instinct.

The first article merely alleges that the bribery/ kickback scheme was designed to grow Russia's uranium business in the US when it was apparently just garden variety criminality on the part of Mikerin who was stealing from his own (Russian) company. There's no tie-in that was offered.
