She's just pissed, because every time it comes down to it, she can't perform. She should have been insanely happy with that outrageously high score they gave her on the uneven bars.

Just another ranting of a drama queen.

She's a whiner. I caught the story about her on NBC one night and she is the self-proclaimed "Queen of Gymnastics". She thinks she's been cheated since day one, deserves every gold ever handed out, etc. Get over it already!

I hated that girl's routines. She is too tall and lanky, not much grace. I don't understand why everyone says she's one of the best. Plus she has an ice cold demeanor that is so unappealing. Now she's bitter. She botched the all around so many times, even falling off the darned high bar last night. I don't recall one flawless exercise from her so far.

MOSCOW (Reuters) -- Russia's Svetlana Khorkina, who was second to American Carly Patterson in the women's all-round gymnastics competition, has accused the judges of robbing her of the gold medal and said "everything was decided in advance."

"I'm just furious," Khorkina, who had been favorite for the coveted title, was quoted as saying in the daily Izvestia. "I knew well in advance, even before I stepped on the stage for my first event, that I was going to lose."

"Everything was decided in advance. I had no illusions about this when the judges gave me 9.462 for the vault after conferring with one another at length.

"I practically did everything right, still they just set me up and fleeced me," she said in the interview published on Saturday.

Asked why she felt she was marked down by the judges, Khorkina said: "You better ask them. I think it's because I'm from Russia, not from America!"

When Khorkina won her silver medal on Thursday, she showed no outward signs of disappointment and said: "I think it's the best day of my life."

The Russian was also favorite for the all-round title four years ago in Sydney, where her hopes were dashed after she crashed to her knees from the vault. It was later discovered the horse had been set five centimeters too short.

She said she was hoping Sydney's experience would cause the judges to be more sympathetic to her plight in Athens -- her third and last Olympics.

Khorkina did not think Patterson was a deserving winner.

Asked if the American was a worthy opponent, she said: "I've seen a much tougher opposition than her. Let's see how long she can remain on top. Can she keep going and compete in two more Olympics like myself."

"No, well, you better write that Patterson is a great champion and she has a great future," she added sarcastically.

Khorkina confirmed that Athens were her last Olympics but she wants to remain in the sport.

"I'd like to work for the International Gymnastics Federation. These competitions have shown the sport needs a lot of changes," she said. "It should be judged primarily on grace, elegance and beauty rather than simply on mechanical tumbling."

On Sunday the Russian will compete in her last event -- the uneven bars, where she is hoping to become the first gymnast in history to win three consecutive Olympic titles on the same apparatus.

Russian Gymnast Says Women's All-Around Was Fixed
Khorkina Quoted as Saying She Might Have Won if She Was 'From America'

She's a stuckup prissy little b1tch. I was happy that she got the bronze or silver or whatever she got in the all-arounds and then I read about how she's this gymnastics diva, and she basically was like "haha" to Carly Patterson when she (not Carly) won the World.

I found it a little sickening to watch her compete. So damn skinny she's probably bulimic or anorexic

ontop of being too skinny she's also too tall to be competeing. Her routines just look sloppy.

"i tend to blame others for my own inability."

Heh that about sums it up :)

She sounds like a right b!tch, you can never tell if that was actually what she said though, I haven't watched any of the gymnastics this year so I'm not sure which one she is will have to have a look on the web when I get home...

I knew it was Svetlana Khorkina before anyone mentioned her name. She is far too whiney and a drama queen.

Carly had a better routine and was more solid all around. She deserved to win.

Khorkina is very famous in Russia. They 'love' her their and she is basically a Celeb their.

She wasn't as good as Carly on the day. She also said she 'pratically' did everything right. Well she didn't do 'everything' right then did she?! Stupid girl. Carly won and was better.

am I the only one that didnt like any of her performances? It is painful to watch her, as she is always in a hurry, her moves are super fast, no grace, as soon as she is done with her routine, she wanted to get off the stage in a hurry! slow down girl!

Last Olympics she was great. Her height accentuated her grace. This Olympics she looked like a wobbly amateur.

I'm surprised there haven't been any Yakov Smirnoff jokes yet.

In Soviet Russia, horse vaults YOU!

WTF? Is it a beauty contest, or the Olympics?

Whatever... she's sucked it up the whole Olympics and even fell off the uneven bars last night doing a move named after her. These cheating accusations in the Olympics are getting worse than a game of Counter-Strike...

Well, if it were based on beauty, she wouldn't have even got a bronze.
