The author of that article clearly has not played Modern Warfare 2...

It's funny that the Russians don't like the level where Russian terrorists attack an airport, but they don't mind the levels where Russia attacks the US. :D

The person you control is an American soldier, not a Russian. And the American was ordered to kill civilians by his war monger American superior officer who will kill anybody including Americans and Brits if it furthers his own agenda. So really, Americans are the good guys and the bad guys in MW2.

I never figured out what his agenda was. Care to elaborate?

You have to admit, an Auschwitz level in BF1943 might be considered in bad taste by some. :p

Absolutely. But this has nothing to do with the scene, it has everything to do with some Russians getting their panties in a wad because they are tired of being portrayed as terrorists in American media.

This wouldn't have happened if they'd stop being terrorists.

Next up Germany bans Battlefield 1943 because WW2 never happened.

Germany is really touchy about depictions of Nazis, and they're kind of funny on other censorship issues. For instance they allow games in which you kill people by shooting them in the head, but they did not allow an achievement for a certain number of headshots because that would be rewarding violence. :\ I believe there was also a recent attempt to pass a really strict censorship law, I'm not sure how that turned out.

Boy, thank god they're not Muslims.
