Russia Sends Fighters to Track US U2 Spy Flights: Lodges Protest

but they could shoot down the U2, which i'm sure they wouldn't
The whole idea is that Russia is trying to exercise soverignity over their own airspace. If a U2 flew over canada w/o the US telling us, i'm sure we'd scramble some fighters too.

As long as we are in INTERNATIONAL Airspace then there is absolutely nothing they can legally complain about.

Your confused. Tanks cant stop planes. So, you can scramble your tank but he will do no good. 😀
 
The funny part of this story, is to think we even CARE enough about Russia to send a U2 to look at anything across their border...


...except maybe their secret recipes to making their vodka.
