Russian rhetoric is increasingly unhinged and nuclear.
Russia on Tuesday once again escalated the threat of nuclear warfare amid its illegal campaign in Ukraine by alleging that with the support of the U.S. Kyiv is developing nuclear weapons.
"The need for demilitarization is due to the fact that Ukraine, saturated with weapons, poses a threat to Russia, including from the point of view of the development and use of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons," Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, said according to state-owned news agencies.

A nation acting like North Korea is a bit different in the midst of an active war. All the while they increasingly say it is a war against us, and they begin to speak of nuclear weapons daily. Our Intel community has to reach some point where the only conclusion is that Russia will launch and we have to beat them to it. Or do something dramatic to intercede.

Note, Russia on Tuesday vowed to take all of Ukraine under the veil of a nuclear threat. All we can do is call their bluff... but at what point does our military consider this rabid dog too dangerous to ignore?

So to avoid the possibility of a nuclear war, we start a... nuclear war.

Go away and take a chill pill ffs.

If NATO and Ukraine don't invade Russian soil - they'll not go nuclear.

Shake and wave that nuclear stick all he wants, it's not going to deter Ukraine's western allies from convincing Putin that he really fucked up underestimating the reaction the west would take from his invading a budding democracy trying to find its way in the world and he needs to unfuck what he did to his victim's satisfaction while, if possible, saving some face and his job while he's at it.

The irony of Fox News putting out an article with that headline...

Yes, It's all about being brown or not....

Think about the assets coming over your border if they were educated like these Ukrainians? Goddamn, what if you primed education in those areas and let those countries do the heavy lifting of the actual education... You'd reap the benefits at the border on a daily basis... all it needs is a little up front investment.

Its the smart play.

That makes no sense to me.
You prime your own population with propaganda so as to gain a foothold for the "difficult" times coming cause xyz war blabla.
Priming your population for nuclear war, MAD, seems like a waste of fucking time? No-one is gonna care after the fact?

Speaking of miscalculations

World is uniting against war.

Seems to me like Putin has but one option left. One button. Either its game over or its game over.

I mean, the US could start out by educating US citizens...

Yes, It's all about being brown or not....

Because it literally is:

  • Views of immigrants by region of origin: Americans on both sides of the partisan line have mostly positive or neutral views of Asian and European immigrants. But when it comes to those from Latin America, 58% of Republicans say these immigrants have had a mostly negative impact on society, compared with 23% of Democrats. There is a similar divide on views of Middle Eastern immigrants, with Republicans more than twice as likely as Democrats to view them negatively.

Looks like the Russians shot down another TB2, likely the one that lit up that ammo dump in Belgorod. Somewhat embarrassing Russian AD nabs them only after they've blown something up.

Also if they are expending TB2s on strikes in Russian territory that suggests backfilling of more or other tactical UCAVs.

The continued thirst for wide ranging and/or nuclear war in this thread is bizarre.
Nobody is thirsting for MAD, but this confrontation was coming, it so happened Putin decided to play the first card and fail so very very miserable. Now we force him to finish the hand. Maybe even the game. Without nuclear armageddon. However, you cant play the game if you’re not willing to roll the die.
Roll over Russia and the last Huge regime will be China.

Russians talking bout nukes doesn't mean you have to take them seriously or talk about nukes ourselves. Repeatedly invoking them is a sign of weakness.
Yeah, unfortunately, you have to take their comments seriously - even if it's most likely a huge bluff.

UK Foreign Secretary to give talk recommending sending fighter jets and tanks to Ukraine:

Over due, IMHO.

Long.
Ukrainians have proven themselves the tool no-one saw coming in terms of bringing down The Russian Regime... How can we resist now?
