India learned to live with it first by aligning with the Soviet Union and then only really accepting it after US victory in the Cold War made it so they had no choice.

Both militarily and economically India needs the US more than the US needs India and it’s probably valuable for India to keep that in mind.

Crude and angry, yet most "diplomatic" insult in 3...2...1...

India has learnt to fend for itself over the years. We certainly don't need US cooperation to survive so long the nukes don't fly.

Yea, use some dumb article from an unknown researcher to pull a dubious claim in a bid to insult India and Indians. Don't be fooled by the official .gov link.

This is one more time where I caught you pushing bullshit you and your friends manage to pull out of your ass.

Tucker Carlson would care less if Russia invaded Ukraine, as long as we’re not footing the bill for it. I’m sure the war pigs in this thread will disagree though…

So you think the people that do nothing but cheer on military spending and absolutely pounded the war drums for Iraq and Iran only have a problem with the spending, lol.

It's not a question of survival, it's that we are your largest trading partner and you are...uhmm... not ours.

This really isn't needed, especially in this thread. You can be against the actions of the Indian government without bashing the people of India.

I suggest you read his quote that I responded too..

He brought them into it.

The blame lies squarely with him that he held them up as victims.. when I just pointed out they're victims of their own choosing and choose ignorance over facts consistently!

could y'all take the India talk to another thread?

Anyways, here's an interesting talk by General Mick Ryan of Australia, he doesn't seem to think the M1A will pose that much of a logistical issue for Ukraine

This guy makes quite the case for us giving Ukraine decommissioned Marine Abrahms.

You really think Tucker the Fucker gives a shit who is footing the bill? You are full of shit in trying to sell Tucker as a patriot. He's actually a treasonous rat and you are either that or a complete phony.

Congress approves almost $50 billion for Ukraine.

This link should work for 14 days, i.e. until Jan. 6, 2023:

A snip from way down in the article (don't know if you can see that from the link above...):

President Volodymyr Zelensky’s triumphant visit to Washington ended with promises of billions more in U.S. support for Ukraine, but not what he wanted most: American battle tanks, fighter jets and long-range precision missiles.

The United States has repeatedly said there are weapons it will not send to Ukraine to battle Russia’s invading forces. But as the last 10 months of war have shown, the limits of U.S. support have shifted in Ukraine’s favor, and Mr. Zelensky may yet get what he wants.

After his daring 10-hour dash to the nation’s capital on Wednesday, Mr. Zelensky left with nearly $2 billion in new arms and equipment — as well as a likely commitment from Congress for nearly $50 billion in additional aid next year.

And while Mr. Zelensky did not get everything on his wish list, John Kirby, a National Security Council spokesman, said on Thursday that the United States was committed to providing the equipment that Ukraine needs, although he declined to provide specifics.

Congress approves almost $50 billion for Ukraine.

Due to recent election results, I assume this puts a clock on Ukraine ending the war. They have roughly one more year of supplies available, and essentially no expectation of additional financial aid after that. The allowance for military aid probably also shrinks in 2024, without additional approval. This is an ugly situation.

Our abandonment of Ukraine in 2024 could easily force Ukraine to give up plans for Crimea, and for protecting food access through the Black Sea.

And your love for India and Indians was demonstrated in spades during your insult. Are you blind to your own actions?

Eh, I'm able to joke about these things with my literate and self-aware Indian friends, because I can also joke about the stupid ridiculous and horrible things about my own country.

I'm not full of undeserved pride like you are. I am capable of critical thinking. I can read, and I hang out with people that are also capable of these same adult things.

I never once insulted the Indian people. I criticized a failure of leadership and perhaps a more collective failure to effectively prioritize actual peoples' needs above selfish, personal desires for the very few.

What? I thought it was only a portion of republican wackos who decided defense spending suddenly sucks - if it's going to Ukraine?
Democrats + enough R's == bill pass in the house - no?

Would people just ignore the two bozos in the thread. It's beyond tedious. I put them on ignore just to cut down the S/N, but you guys are still quoting them.

It's got to get out of the HOR. McCarthy will be beholden to the Mat Gaetz, MTG, Beaubert wing of the remnants of the Republican party, that is, if he gets to be speaker. Actually, ether way, were F'd.

I am wondering what the half life of the USSR nukes is.

With the state of how bad the Russian military is run and their constant problems.. you have to wonder if they're actually maintained/ effective at the moment.

Hell comically one could wonder how many Tsar Bomba's they needed to actually have the Tsar Bomba go boom!
