You are insane. Ukraine has literally complained about Starlink catastrophically crashing.

And now you are moving the goal posts and sound like you are babbling on and on not making sense.
No Ukraine didn't complain, two un-named government officials complained with no confirmation from the Ukraine government. If Starlink was "Catastrophically crashing" because of shenanigan's by Musk I would have quickly expected to see official confirmation from the Ukranian government of Starlink issues around areas recently liberated. The Ukrainian government hasn't been shy about directly going after Musk publicly if necessary for doing something stupid. Has this happened?

Two government officials, speaking under the condition of anonymity, told the publication that soldiers had difficulty connecting to the satellite internet service when they entered cities that had only recently been freed from Russian troops.

One government official from Ukraine said that the outages have caused a "catastrophic" loss of communication between the country's military forces. Another official said the lack of internet connection resulted in panicked calls from troops to help lines, FT reported.

I would also draw your attention to this paragraph from the same article.

Roman Sinicyn, a co-ordinator at a foundation that donates Starlink systems to the Ukrainian armed forces, told FT the issue could be caused by SpaceX representatives working to make sure Russian soldiers couldn't use the technology, as the liberation of some of the areas had not been made public yet at the time of the connectivity issues.

Sanctions won't do much to stop Putin, only defeat on the battlefield.
Its actually done wonders. Its why the dumbass blundered into Ukraine in the first place, and now Russia and Putin's "might" is being shown for the sham it is for all the world to see. It also is leading to his defeat on the battlefield.

He's just one of those right wingers (one of the self professed libertarian dude bro types that worships Elon) that is desperate to pretend like he's apolitical but his idiocy reveals the truth.

Unnamed sources are very common and used very often very accurate. Because they are a named means nothing. I'll believe two Ukrainian unnamed government sources over your ramblings any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Elon has straight up showed us how he feels about the Ukraine situation. Does not support Ukraine reclaiming its own territory and then fact suggested holding elections in other contested territory using outdated election results from Ukraine in 2012. He also suggested that China should get more control of Taipei. He has made his position clear on how to deal with authoritarian dictatorship such as Russia and China. The fact you can't even read what he's writing is nuts

France to deliver anti-air systems to Ukraine in coming weeks - Macron | Reuters

Unfortunately, only Crotale short-range anti-air missiles, no SAMP/T.

They should be effective against cruise missiles and Shahed-136 though.

Yeah, useful against drones for sure. There just are not a ton of medium range SAM systems laying around that countries are eager to part with. The country that could be most helpful immediately is Israel who has vast stocks but they are withholding.

Alternatively the west might need to consider non-soviet aircraft with air to air missiles.

You are free to believe whatever you want about Starlink in Ukraine, doesn't mean it is accurate.

Unfortunately it looks to be a big problem
“We and the Ukrainians are now paying the cost of the last two decades of inattention to air defense and cruise missile defense,” Karako said. “We’ve taken air superiority for granted for way too long and this is what it looks like when you come up against an enemy with lots of air and missile power. Lo and behold air defense is in very high demand.”

And what makes you so accurate?

Are you living in Ukraine?
If you look at it logically, geo-fencing makes sense for the Starlink issues because it has only been reported to occur in recently liberated areas of Ukraine and in the first hours of that liberation. When the lines were static no issues occurred near front lines. As far as a Starlink being a commercial system and not a hardened military system, that is well know that Starlink isn't milspec hardware. If Starlink was actually having issues we would be hearing from named Ukrainian sources. Probably a tweet from the Ukrainian Digital Minister.

Instead we get Tweets like this?

The quick-er and dirty solution is probably to build the NASAMS high mobility launchers that came our of the canceled SLAMRAAM project, modify existing AN/TPQ-36s into AN/MPQ-64s. You still need the FDC truck but it's faster than waiting for the custom NASAMS 3 launchers and new build radars.

It is not the most elegant solution but would work.

How do you know that Ukraine didn't ask SpaceX to geo-fence off Starlink from areas of Ukraine occupied by Russia?
How do you know that SpaceX isn't blocking access in occupied areas because they are concerned with Russians using captured Starlink terminals to somehow destabilize the Starlink system and bring down parts of the Starlink system in Ukraine? Starlink is a commercial system not a hardened military communication system. This is part of the disadvantage of pushing a commercial system into military use.
SpaceX is rolling back the geo-fencing in place for Starlink as Ukraine pushes the occupiers out of Ukraine. Which fits in with the theory that SpaceX/Ukraine do not want Starlink working in occupied Ukraine.
Interesting. I was unaware that one cannot move captured Starlink terminals outside any geofenced dead zone and then attempt to destabilize the entire Starlink system.

The Russian military is free to bring the Starlink terminals back to the Ukranian forces and those units can surrender at the same time.

Isn't this one of the dudes that was spreading Russian propaganda and is also closet Elon cult member?
I dislike Musk as much as the next person, but slow down a bit.

Even the hard core Ukrainian patriots living in Ukraine dropped this one pretty quick.

Lets not jump to conclusions here.

@Brovane's explanation is old news at this point, and it makes a lot of sense. I think I remember a Ukrainian commentator hinting at the same thing.

While it is true @Brovane is not in Ukraine, it is also true @MrSquished is not on the front lines either. I love this thread, but lets not forget their is a whole lot of speculation swirling around many things in Ukraine. Even by Ukrainians.

Especially by Ukrainian's. The whole country is running off of fear, hopium, and the knowledge their apartment might be Vlad's next target. It makes people a bit jumpy, eh.
