Pretty sure the FSB has been leaking info to NATO/US/Ukraine. I read that is how they were able to anticipate and intercept the 3 teams sent in to assassinate Zelenskyy. This is probably Putin reacting to that possibility.

Point is the same. Either the Dude was responsible for keeping a zero leak staff or he was leaking. He was not capable of doing the job when it got hard.
The short fat guy who was passed over because he didn’t look right is capable of running a tight ship.

I listened to various of the other countries, and I think it was either India or Brazil who made a good point. Before inspections teams go in there needs to be an end of hostilities. So this could be a way to broker an end of hostilities. If US or Kiev had no aquisition or development of bio agents, then welcome an investigation as well as end the hostilities.

ah yes, be sure to only listen to other sociopathic despots and assume that they are capable of making good points.

gtfo out of here with your fucking horseshit.

US and EU are working to send more advanced weapons and larger stuff like ex-soviet SAM units possessed by allied countries to Ukraine. That probably prompted the below. Practically speaking Russia does not have the resources or capability to police most of the western border.

If the Russians weren't targeting that supply chain from day one, they're idiots.

With what? Their Air Force is mostly sitting on the ground due to the intactness of Ukrainian air defense and the thousands of MANPADs the nation has at its disposal. And they've got no PGMs to use anyway.

Had a thought. There's only one person now who could possibly stop the Russians bombing.

What if Pope Francis announced, "I'm coming into Ukraine with humanitarian relief. Russia, stop attacking these people."

Do you honestly think Putin would kill the Pope? He knows that more then ever the entire world would hunt him down and execute his authoritarian ass. Can you imagine 1 billion people hunting down Putin.

This would be a curve ball nobody could anticipate. It would be the ultimate move where the Catholic church could do the ultimate sacrificial act. Would it be extremely dangerous for the Pope? Yes. However, now's the time to step up for the sake of the world.

A bit pipe dreamy but I think it could either stop the bombing or stop Putin

Don't get it. It's just all the preceding Presidents, in chronological order. Carter seems to be behind Biden's head, Trump would be off to the, er, far-right - and behind the flag. Are they compilations of their schedules or speeches or descriptions of the events of their terms of office or something?

If he did he would be a dead man and the Russian people would know there lives would be permanently fucked.

It's a shot worth taking. I'm not sure even Putin has those kind of balls

There are virtually no Catholics in Russia. No, I don't think he'd care.

Though there is the strong possibility that Poland would simply declare war on Russia if this happened.

What if The Donald announced, "I'm coming into Ukraine with to make golf courses. Russia, stop attacking these people."

Do you honestly think Putin would kill The Donald? He knows that more then ever the entire world would hunt him down and execute his authoritarian ass. Can you imagine 70 million GOPers hunting down Putin?

This would be a curve ball nobody could anticipate. It would be the ultimate move where the Golden Golfer could do the ultimate sacrificial act. Would it be extremely dangerous for The Donald? Nope. However, now's the time to step up for the sake of the world.

Is it possible we may get a new episode of Storage Jars? Perhaps from Odessa embedded in a UN bioweapons investigation team, or any of the other ~29 locations. Those can't be cheap to build and staff. Lots of DoD funding. I wonder for what.

Russia is insisting this be investigated. I think we all want to get to the bottom of this so why not.
Step 1: Arrest and jail every single Russian invader for rampant war crimes, every single one is at a minimum complicit with the ongoing war crimes
Step 2: Complete the 190,000-odd trials, collect evidence, and issue warrants for every Russian in chain of command that gave orders for the war crimes
Step 3: Demand surrender of every war criminal, up to and including Putin to the Hague
Step 4: Evaluate evidence, or rather entire lack thereof, behind Russian propaganda claims - per your request - that are purely an attempt to distract from ongoing real Russian war crimes

Just an out of the box idea.

I didn't know there are no Catholics in Russia but Putin is smart enough to know Pope Francis's influence world wide.

He could figure out killing him would not only destroy his country for his lifetime but the lifetime of every living Russian.

There are millions of Catholics in Russia, deeply religious still, but they are Russian Orthodox, have their own "patriarch" and are separate from the Roman Catholics and the Pope. Eastern rite.

For the purposes of this conversation I mean Roman Catholics. Putin has largely co-opted the Russian Orthodox Church.
