Recent Western estimates: there are now over 600k Russian soldiers killed or injured in Putin's war on Ukraine.

(And crowd sourced public data shows over 17,000 Russian military vehicles and equipment lost in Ukraine, including over 3,000 tanks and over 4,500 infantry fighting vehicles - which are low-end minimum figures based on video confirmed kills)

Having economic ties to our enemy, needs to be considered as BEING our enemy.
The global implications are earth shattering, but we need to stop funding and providing supplies to Russia.
Much of the world is supporting Russia's attack on Europe.
And pledge their resources towards that end.

‘You have shown determination’: Malaysian PM praises Putin, pledges closer ties

Anwar, who is on two-day visit to Moscow, said it would be to Malaysia’s benefit if Russia shared its achievements and agreed to “collaborate in all fields of endeavour”. Both countries are discussing tie-ups ranging from aerospace and advanced technologies to agriculture and food security.

Still, I have to smh when I think of all the fabs/foundries we’ve built in places like Taiwan and Malaysia that should’ve been built in friendlier/safer countries closer to home.

Malaysia was supposed to be our chip industry’s hedge against Taiwan falling under Chinese control, so of course Putin would exploit his fondness for autocratic regimes to drive a wedge between the monarchy/sultans and the West. Alas, if only the CIA hadn’t fucked things up so bad in Central and South America…

Crap. You can just tell that Malaysia's Anwar is a rotten rat siphoning billions of his country's money into offshore accounts belonging to him, his relatives and his friends. Only a corrupt low life would admire another corrupt low life.

Is there still doubt that he is no friend of poor innocent people? Aligning with groups and countries that enjoy bloodshed.
That wasn't my question; i can find no evidence is siphoning billions for personal use out of the govt; the previous president did such but you said he was....

If he's kissing up to puto Putin, you can bet he's into deeply illegal shit. So yes, it's speculation but pretty logical speculation. He didn't get into power without filling pockets and he will sure as hell get a return on his investment.

I thought this was known for months?

It doesn't really change anything.
I think this is the first instance that Iran has shipped these missiles.

In terms of change, it makes it easier for the USA to support Ukraine with long range stuff. If Russia's allies gives Russia extra capabilities, then Ukraine's allies should do the same thing.

And if Russia fires Iranian missiles into Ukraine, we have yet another iron-clad excuse to finally allow full use of all Western weapons on Russian territory. (Although, we still may have to wait for President Harris to do that, Biden has steadfastly blocked such use).

Personally I find this sort of speculation as bad as any other sort of speculation and even worse when it is stated as fact. But that is just me.

Not really; it is not relevant to Biden's administration decision. Personally I think they should allow Ukraine to target any military target used against Ukraine including air bases regardless of where they are located but that is just me. Unfortunately I have no sway over what the Biden administration does. Still i can cross my fingers and hope....

Some South East Asian countries are in the non aligned movement and had ties to Russia/China during the cold war so the Malaysian PM's move to visit Russia is not way out of the ordinary although it is also in bad taste given the war in Ukraine. The (previous) Thailand PM has visited Putin since the outbreak of the 2022 war and invited Putin to visit Thailand and both Thailand/Malaysia have voted to support Ukraine in the UN GA vote. So a big reason for the visits are business related - BRICS, Russia foreign investment and industry partnerships, tourism.
Recently Putin has made public statements supporting the Palestinians which plays well to the Malaysian public and polling shows that Putin has relatively higher approval ratings in SEA countries compared to the west - https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asi...utin-ukraine-nato-pew-research-center-4454671
“Malaysia is the only country where a majority express a favourable opinion of Russia, with nearly six in 10 (57 per cent) Malaysians saying this,”
Similarly, 34 per cent of Singaporeans expressed a favourable opinion of Russia in the latest survey, up six percentage points from 2022
Meanwhile, 52 per cent of respondents from Thailand and 46 per cent of those in the Philippines hold a favourable opinion of Russia
